I believe this is more of the Clintoons scullduggery, and we may yet see her heinous. What can we do?

What can we do? Nothing. We're doomed. ;-D
Seriously? I think he'll make it to the election, and lose.

I understand your suspicions, but I think you're basing your fears on the fact that the Kerry Campaign seems to be unwinding through mistake after mistake. I think the Dems who are still Dems are just plain too stupid to put together a credible campaign.
Question is, can they get much more dumb? Probably. My advice is to just sit back and enjoy the show.

I think it will be Hitlery, someone other than Edwards as VP.

I'm not sure of the legality of a Kerry withdrawl. I do think the damage would be too great for his replacement to stand a chance.

If Kerry has any intention of withdrawing, it will have to be long before the end of September. If he waits that long, he may find that he's passed the ballot deadline in many states -- in which case he'll still end up on the ballot in these states even if he drops out of the race.

I Have had the same thoughts, and i do not know enough about the whole nominating process.
i think some "persons" put this jerk up for the kill[scapegoat],however i believe 4 more years of the executive
branch held by the right will make most of the left impotent for good.

The Dork isn't going anywhere. He will continue to implode further and further and this country will be more divided then ever. He will lose in the voting booth, there will be a recount and legal action AGAIN, Bush will have "Stolen" the election once again, yadda yadda yadda...

Doesn't David Kendall still represent The National Enquirer?

Kerry's whole life has been a campaign to become president. He would rather die that give up this opportunity. He will self-destruct, but he will never be convinced he is not destined to become president.

If Hillary is behind this and wanting to get on the ticket, she has to be careful. She cannot allow too much disarray in the Party before Kerry removes himself because there wouldn't be time to pull the Party back together.
Yet, she can't act too quickly, as a lengthy (still 3 months) campaign period opens HER up to too much scrutiny.
She needs to let Kerry float into late Sept, at least, or continue to sink his ship and have her sights on 2008.

I don't they Kerry will be replaced. These kind of dust-ups and skirmishes are not something new to presidential elections in this country.

Calm down. He won't drop out.
He's too arrogant and too rich,
and he truly thinks he's going to win.

It is such a fantastic array of events, leading up to now, that I guess I am just really suspicious!!! Never attribute to malice what can be adequately explained by mere incompetence.
After last week's convention turned into Gigli II (multimillion dollar production about a French guy that starred Ben Affleck and bombed with the viewing public), Kerry is down a little, but I still expect the polls to level off not far from where they've been all along. Like a lot of us keep saying, it's going to be a long and tough campaign.

Who will take Kerry's place...?
The Breck Girl and then Hillary will take Edwards's place as VP. Kerry will bow out citing the viciousness of the attacks against his fragile wife and his need to care for her in a way that would be impossible as president.

Kerry is such a horrible candidate on so many levels that I have all along said that , somehow, they are gonna trot out Al Gore for a rematch at the last minute.
We need to pray that Kerry stays in. He will get crushed in November.

I am of the opinion that this Kerry brouhaha is going to culminate in a Kerry withdrawal... Relax. Kerry will pull 45 - 48% of the vote no matter what he says or does. All his hopes to win rest on Osama to pull an October or September surprise that he can lay at the feet of W.
