Would this also be a way to deal with the major networks? I don't know if we would stand a chance of getting them to cover this the way they cover Moveon.org.

Well, Morris, somebody wants to go back to VietNam, in fact, Viet Nam is the only place the tall dork seems to want to go.

He doesn't want to go to his post-Viet Nam protests.

He doesn't want to go to his 20 years in the senate.

He doesn't want to go into his plans for the war on terror.

He doesn't want to go into his plans for the economy.

I think he needs to just go to Nam and stay there.

By the way, the stations were given a 60 page document with the adds that validated the information in the adds.

When I've complained about radio ads in the past, the local station said that heck, they didn't know, the ads come bundled from corporate. I would strongly suspect that presidential ads are placed at the network level and local stations don't have as much discretion as you would think. When in doubt, complain to them both. What a local affiliate does could have blow-back ramifications on the network, so I'm sure they will take notice.

Per a Dayton caller to Boortz, WDTN is reversing their position, thanks to the deluge of calls they have received.

As I hear of any other stations, I'll post 'em...

My email:

"Mr. Bendin:

"I am very unhappy that you have chosen to censor the ad from Swift Boat Veterans. If you do that, you must also censor any ads from Mr. Soros' MoveOn.Org and other DNC organs until what they say can be "verified."

"In Vietnam we had a name for lousy officers like Mr. Kerry. You could not broadcast it.

"Regards,"

I remember laughing hard and long after his ad in his senate campaign boasted that he had "written a new chapter in naval tactics" after the dumb a**h*le managed to run his boat aground during an engagement.

I live in Montgomery County, but outside of Dayton. Dayton is Liberal because it is a welfare construction project. You could write a book on how bad liberalism can make a city by studying Dayton. A report sent out by the Gov't school system showed around 30% were able to pass the Math proficiency and around 40% passed the English portion.

The surrounding areas are VERY republican. News around Ohio is that 7 counties could make or break Ohio for Bush. Montgomery County is one of them and you can be sure that I will be out in full force.

BTW, This just in. WDTN's website has just been updated as well.

My local stations aren't showing it as an ad, but they do show the whole ad as a news segment.

I'm here in Dayton and when I heard that they were pulling these ads on Neal Boortz, I wasn't surprised!

Well, I just visited WDTN's website. Besides their countdown to becoming a NBC affiliate (gag! what's the difference in the partisan alphabet soup these days!), they have a statement saying they WILL air the ads:

Click on the link: WDTN will air Swift Boat vets' ad

Folks,

To best put Kerry in his place, use your energy optimally. Call the campaign and volunteer a few hours of your time in a battleground state to help defeat him.

Picture the situation. The man has been orchestrating a run for president since he was 22, taking home movies of heroic postures and seeking medals. It's like Clinton's "to maintain my viability in the political process" thing in his letter to the military when he was 21. Kerry has wanted the presidency that long.

If you want to punish him, destroy his lifelong dream. Defeat him.

Volunteer for the Bush campaign.

Call John McCain's office 202-224-2235 and ask why he is interested in stopping the people Kerry accused of being war criminals of defending their honor. Has McCain ever asked Kerry to correct his Senate testimony about the war?

I called Washington and AZ offices yesterday.

The AZ office was quite polite and only said they would pass the info along.

The Washington Office was rude and defensive. THey outright lied to me when they spit out the DNC talking point of "they weren't even in the boat" I had to refute that and the girl hung up on me.

Please keep the calls coming today

I was told on another thread that the McCain office girl said that the calls are bothering McCain.

Of course, it is. The letter was simply sent to intimidate the wobblies and give cover to the pro-Kerry station managers. They don't care one whit about the truth because if they had REALLY consulted their attorneys, they would have known that the DNC nastygrams were as empty as their souls.

Sounds like CENSORSHIP to me! ;-) So have the Bush people been leaning on the media to not air Moveon and other "independent" anti Bush ads?? If not, they should.

If they ever get to weild the kind of power that they crave, they will make this country a copy of China and simply imprison anyone who dares to speak out.

Actually, this thing gives the SwiftVets very good grounds for legal action against Kerry and the DNC. I believe the phrase is along the lines of "tortious interference in a business transaction." Now, if a RICO case could be made as well, that'd be icing on the cake.

Would a complaint to the FCC hurt? I want McCain Feingold to check out moveon.org etc. Either way, we need to contact EVERY local station and network and tell them NOT to cave in to the lawyer and his husband..

Even a leftist station such as the one in Dayton has to respond to public complaints. They don't know that we're from Peoria and Podunk rather than Dayton. LOL.

Way to go, ladies and gentlemen.
