Neil has been pointing out this morning that there are television stations who are caving in to pressure from the Democratic Party ...

One does not "cave in" to one's own point of view. Many in the media are like shadow appendages of the Democrat Party apparatus.

Do you know if there are any ramifications to filing a complaint?

See #16 and also Filing a Complaint with the FCC Is EASY. Finally, contact the station itself and ask when their license comes up for renewal. They MUST solicit public input as part of that process.

Just politely e-mailed GM. One of the things I fought for in Vietnam was the First Amendment. Told him so. I am also a lawyer and stated I thought it was disgraceful that Kerry's lawyers are trying to muzzle this group.

The first rule of political analysis: Ignore Dick Morris, he seldom, if ever, gets it right

Hehehe. So true. I like to watch him, then run the other way, he's that reliable at being wrong. That is, rather than ignore, pay attention, and learn from consistently incorrect analysis.

I agree with you - I grew up near Dayton - in between Cincy and Dayton (Mason) - and Dayton is definitely leftist.

Call John McCain's office 202-224-2235 and ask why he is interested in stopping the people Kerry accused of being war criminals of defending their honor. Has McCain ever asked Kerry to correct his Senate testimony about the war?

Just sent:

Mr. Bendin,

I see that you have decided not to run the Swift Vet advertisement until they provide proof that it is valid.

I have not seen proof that MoveOn.org's ads are truthful. We both know that they are not.

Why do you support MoveOn.org when it is obviously a communist organization and not the Swift Vets who are patriots?

Finally after 19 years in the Senate the only thing Kerry brings to the table is a war that we lost because of him 35 years ago?

Think about it.

Dayton is so out of touch with the surrounding area that it makes no sense. I grew up in Miami County which was totally Republican and lived in Greene County another Republican County when we were at Wright-Patt. I never could understand Dayton.

Taft and his wonderful "tax-cut" policy closed GM's doors. Taft has killed Ohio's economy and jobs. Unfortunately, Bush will have to bear the burden of Taft's awful governing.

Yep - I know right where you are talking about. Mason (where I grew up) is in Warren County - was and still is conservative for the most part. My parents are still living there. I live in southern IN now - near Louisville- which leans to the left.

The station HAS to reply to an FCC complaint. Failure to do so may jeopardize their license.

Better yet, ask McCain if he ever asked Kerry to apologize for making comments he had to listen to while being tortured.

I can't claim to be "in the know" but polite letters requesting consistent treatment with a "cc: FCC" at the bottom should do the trick. If you can cite specific examples where they run political ads from moveon.org and its sister organizations, all the better. No bashing, just a well-reasoned argument. I'd hate to see the SBV ad be sacrificed but if you can force the station into equal truth detection, it might just be worth it; moveon wouldn't stand a chance under those rules. Chances are, though, the station wants the revenue and will air them all.

Register a FCC complaint that the station is using unequal standards in vetting political advertisements, thereby denying equal access to the airwaves allocated to that station. If they want to verify truth (YES, FINALLY!!!) then moveon.org might as well fold up shop. It has to apply to ALL.

BETTER YET: FAX THE STATION THAT YOU INDEND ON DOING THAT, AND FAX THEM NOW!
