Sen. Clinton built life on faith
BY JANE FULLERTON SPECIAL TO THE DEMOCRAT-GAZETTE
Posted on Sunday, August 8, 2004
As Hillary Rodham Clinton builds the public record she began as Arkansas first lady, continued as the nations first lady and is now expanding as New Yorks junior senator, her views on religion remain central to her outlook on life and her position on issues.
Although she doesnt go out of her way to publicize her religious views, neither does she shy from discussing them. Indeed, those who know Sen. Clinton believe her Christian faith has been the motivation for many of the causes she has championed.
If she were to run for the office once held by her husband, she would find those religious beliefs and the role they play in both her public and private life under a greater microscope than ever before.
Her religious viewpoint, shaped by her traditional Methodist upbringing, has remained consistent from her youth-group activities in Illinois to her days teaching Sunday School in Little Rock to her church attendance in Washington and New York. But in many ways, her beliefs remain a mystery to many Americans.
That doesnt surprise the Rev. Don Jones, who was Sen. Clintons youth minister in Illinois and has remained close to her. Unlike some Christians who "wear Jesus on their sleeve," he says, "Hillary doesnt do that." Instead, Jones thinks, her religion is a core element of who she is. "Her spiritual life which is rooted in the Christian faith is really so integrated into her character and intertwined with her personality, it is hardly noticeable when youre with her," says Jones, who recently retired as professor of social ethics at New Jerseys Methodist-affiliated Drew University.
Her staff reports that Sen. Clinton attends church regularly, both when shes at home in
Stupid editor. They mispelled "Seeking Power".
LOL, it other words, she's SO religious that it's nearly undetectable.
"Have you no shame, Senator?"
Hillary's guiding 11th Commandment:
"Do Unto the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy Before they Do Unto You"
(Craig, peel me a grape after you deliver those FBI files to my office...)
The article, like Hellary's career, is a dewey pile of crap.
This is a news article? It seems more like a campaign statement.
I frankly do not care from where Mrs. Clinton derives her beliefs ---- I will still oppose those beliefs and any national office she aspires to.
Is it not said that even the devil has faith?
That is definitely not real christianity. We are to be a light unto the world; a representative for Christ. It better be detectable.
She's a Christian In Name Only. Going to church every Sunday no more makes her a Christian than entering your garage makes you a car.
As for that her life being built on faith bit, EVERYONE's life is built on some faith.
The problem I have with this is that, we don't know what her basic beliefs are. [Actually we do know because it affects her actions.] What difference does all this [supposed] church-going make? Does she believe the Bible is the plenary, inspired Word of God? Does she apply its tenets to her life? Just saying she's a Christian and that she has faith, does not translate into reality.
Words are symbols. I'm looking for substance.
Is it not said that even the devil has faith?
This drivel is a good sign for 2004. This is a campaign piece for 2008.

It was a DIANE "Hillary" RODHAM who supported our Communist Terrorist Enemy HO CHI MINH against Freedom-Fighting American and South Vietnamese Soldiers during the Vietnam War.
As GOD, the LOVE Itself, weeped.

There was no "Hell No" vote
Her Most Royal Highness:"Go fetch me our latest expanded stolen FBI files.
Get all those relevant to controlling the American media.
I have faith in these FBI files which so far have absolutely protected me,
Bill, Gorelick and Berger and so many others."
Jane Fullerton is an idiot.
Concerning the dark one, I believe you are confusing the term "hope" with the term "faith".
While speaking at the rat convention, Hillary mentioned that she "toured ground zero" after the 911 attacks and felt she was "standing at the gates of Hell." The way she delivered that line, and the look in her eyes, made me realize that anyone entering the "gates of Hell" should expect to see her standing at the entry.
