LOL!
I guess I should have read the title of the thread before making my comment.

Where are my friends the neo-cons on this? BTW, I AM one. But Newt and Richard Perle and Wolfowitz etc. aren't looking real good here. No aspersions cast as to their motives in supporting Chalabi I should add.

I heard that .. Chalabi was on the phone with Rita Cosby rambling off
Then one of the military guys was on afterwards (I forget his name, he is the one that lost a son in Iraq) .. Anyhow, he made a comment about some trying to shut Chalabi up because he knows who took the bribes at the UN

Where are my friends the neo-cons on this? Chris Hitchens, who is in tight with that crew, wrote an article called "Chalabi and me" (or something like that) and he defended Chalabi, saying it was all made up stories. I think that would be the view within the neo-con Washington circle.

SALAM AL-CHALABI, THE HEAD OF THE SPECIAL TRIBUNAL TO TRY SADDAM HUSSEIN, DENIED ANY INVOLVEMENT IN THE DEATH OF AN IRAQI OFFICIAL WHO WAS INVESTIGATING THE FINANCES OF HIS UNCLE AHAMD AL-CHALABI. HE SAID THAT THE ACCUSATION IS A POLITICAL ATTEMPT TO DERAIL THE TRIAL. (AL-MASHREQ, BAGHDAD, 8/4/04) (from memri.org ticker)

There was a lot of harsh criticism from the left when we distanced ourselves from Chilabi and made accusations against him.And some on our side, too.
We never made allegations against him. Wolfowitz and General Myers defended him against these charges.
The criticism came from the left who claimed Bush and Rumsfeld had been duped into war by the insidious neo-con cabal.
Anyone who swallows this commie line should be criticized by defenders of the President and the Defense Department.
The truth is that the ex-Baathist Allawi has reversed Chalabi's De-Baathification program and the Baathists he's let back into the government are out to get revenge on Chalabi.
