The snitch who helped nab two Albany mosque leaders this week on terror-related charges is a Pakistani businessman who has been working with the feds for nearly three years, The Post has learned.
A source close to the government informant identified him as a 48-year-old man who came to the United States 10 years ago. The source, who spoke to the informant this week, said "he seems relieved and jubilant that he doesn't have to do this anymore," because the federal investigation that led to the arrests on Thursday had taken a toll on him.

As a resident alien in danger of deportation over the DMV case, the informant opted to aid the government, becoming a source of intense dislike in the local Muslim community. "He ruined my whole life," said Naemi Semena, 37, a mother of two. She is one of three Afghan women who was befriended by Hussain, who could speak their language.

Good or bad if the snitch ends up sleeping with the fishes the NYT should be held accountable in criminal court. First State and then Federal for aiding and abetting in the conspiracy to commit murder and then what ever the federal charge is for unlawfully releasing the name of a field intelligence source.

My apologies I should have said the NYP not the NYT. See what happens when you get conditioned to how things are reported.

s > Why are you so upset??? The snitch never identified the informer. He (and the NYP) "just" gave his age, nationality, time in US, profession, location of employment, and a description of his 'community service' activities.
At least the FBI, "fearing for his safety" didn't confirm his involvement. /s >
I hope the guy doesn't have any family anywhere that aren't able to accompany him into Witness Protection. If anyone needs it now, he certainly does.
Note, too, that the B***H facing deportation, blames him for her "ruining her life".
She must be a Democrat; no personal responsibility; it's all somebody else's fault she is in trouble.

Well, they didn't use his name, but I am sure the whole 'community' now know who he is. I am sure he will have to be relocated with a new ID.

The snitch never identified the informer. He (and the NYP) "just" gave his age, nationality, time in US, profession, location of employment, and a description of his 'community service' activities. And from that anyone worth their salt in investigative skills can figure out just who is being talked about, that's why.
Don't think so, ask a local cop what he could do with that much info to ID a perp.

(With shake of head...) Just in case there might be a misunderstanding, I not only put an 'end sarcasm' sign at the end, I also put a 'START Sarcasm" sign at the beginning...and then put the 'just' in quotation marks.
How can anyone make it any clearer that it is sarasm?????
It does not take an "investigator worth his salt" to ID anyone from the info printed; a 15 YO illiterate drop out, who uses one finger on a keyboard could crack it in 10 minutes or less.
