Christopher Burnett, San Francisco

Oh, yeah. Don't fool yourselves, gentlemen -- Hillary Rodham Clinton is headstrong, ambitious and tough. I'll put my money on the New York senator in 2008. She's got my vote.

Richard Steinbach, Novato

I think it's not likely... The name that comes up most often is Hillary Clinton, and as sexist as it may sound, I believe she is damaged goods.

Gene Boscacci, San Francisco

Yes. Today people want peace, and a woman would think of war as a last resort, utilizing her intuitive powers rather than the male's dominant, aggressive ego...

I'd like to see Giuliani slipped into the VP job at the last minute and be positioned for a Presidential run. I think he may be the best bet against Hil. Condi probably wouldn't win.

There is only one woman that I would vote for President:

MARGARET THATCHER

If the frenchman can run, why not a Brit!

Yes, there will be one. My opinion is, though, that like the first black President, the first female President will be a Republican, not a Democrat.

You are correct, and they will be fabulous. (Condi the first black woman president?)

Thanks. We need to get Hillary defeated in 2006 first. Long shot, but better to take her out then.

its true. speculating on the future is pretty silly. everyday is anything-can happen-day. most expect the gopcon and the debates to eventually be the preeminent factors which decide the election. but who knows? tomorrow.. tomorrow! everything could change a real lot. if kerry gets in.. good night nurse. the future will be very uncertain and tenuous.

This is feministmajority.com activism. There has never been any "margaret thatcher" woman of character in the united states. There are no such women in the political wings.

You do realize that, after W wins in November, he can't run in '08.

No. Perhaps a woman Premier, or lady Prime Minister; but, if we continue this crap the republic as we know it will be coming to an end.

Actually, do you know where women's "intuitive powers" come from?

They evolved from millions and millions of years of not thinking!

Not in MY lifetime. Especially if Kerry gets in. With Bush, there's a good chance that the terrorists will be taken down enough that the American people "might" think about a woman president, but with Kerry.....no way. We'll all be so tramatized by terrorist hits that there is no a chance in the world the country would elect a woman president.

The first female president will be a Republican. The first black president will be a Republican. The first hispanic president will be a Republican.
