This morning Imus told that he received thousands of dollars from Kerry for his ranch. Those who follow his program know that he is also supporting Kerry for president. Is there a conflict of interest here? It seems to me if everyday Imus praises Kerry and bashes President Bush one might question if the monies he is receiving from the Kerrys has anything to do with the promotion. What is your thought on this? Quid pro quo or just politics as usual?
Imus is trying to boost listeners. I expect they will try to create some sort of controversy.
He bashes Kerry, and everyone else who has ever given money for the Ranch, as much as he does the Prez.
Lighten up!
Conflict of interest? Imus is not an elected official, nor does he describe himself as a journalist. He is an entertainer who occasionally expresses political views. He is free to sell his opinions to the highest bidder, just like a movie might sell placement rights to a product. Take Imus for what he's worth.
But at least he admits it.
Imus is an ass - stopped listening to him a long time ago. Anyone who calls Sen. Dodd is "buddy" is braindead.
Imus does this every presidential election. He has a "battle" with the on air staff about who to vote for. He takes the side of the liberal candidate. He is a former Marine. Also, he is a Republican and married to a very strong conservative Republican. He will vote for President Bush. I like Imus' take on Hillary Clinton. " She will never appear on this program." He tells that to anyone who suggests that she should. She hasn't either.
Sometimes I suspect Imus of running under the radar on Kerry. Anyway, he bashes everyone for the most part, so I don't see anything to worry about.
His wife also serves on a board of some charity organization with Teresa. I don't know if it is Heinz money that supports the charity without doing some research.
There never was a Rat that Imus did not like. That is why I no longer watch his show.
Imas is an immoral Socialist that would support Kerry even if he lied about his service in Vietnam, was found to be a gigilo, owned several SUV's while deriding the rest of us for having them, wore a stupid bunny suit, lied about a sitting president to further his own career in a time of war, defamed his fellow soldiers that served with him in Vietnam, lied to get his war decorations, through his wore decorations over the White house fence, lied about throughing his war decorations over the WH fence, cheated on his first wife while she was depressed, voted for the 86 billion before he voted against the 86 billion, looks stupid in a cowboy hat, throws a football like a girl, walks through mud in $1,000 loafers, had his wife buy his $1,000.00 loafers.
Please feel free to ad to this list if I left anything out!
He also adores Mc Cain and Richardson who have supported his tax shelter. The mutt is a fraud.
It's not a conflict of interest, legally, but there's no longer any doubt that Imus is a chalatan and a huckster whose political "insights" are on a level with a semi-well-read 17 year old.
I think the reason Imus is supporting Kerry is because Tereza would provide better material for his show.
Imus is involved in "big time" tomato dealing [salsa] and so is the company that has supported Kerry's lavish way of life [Heinz]
Maybe it's a secret taco sauce connection.
What a great job you did creating that list.
He is painfully boring and always sidetracks good interviewers into talking about himself. I don't worry any more about his influence than I do about Howard Stern.
I am not a fan of Imus and honestly on watch on occasion. You may be correct that he is just trying to get viewers, but the fact still remains, Kerry funds Imus big time and Imus supports and promotes Kerry. Are the two in bed or just friends?
Quite a large number of congressmen/women and senators have all donated to the ranch. Non-issue.
Imus was on a rant against the Kerry campaign when their train failed to make a stop as it rode through his ranch dissapointing the young tykes with cancer who got out to see him.
