My first Hurricane Season here in Florida. I am in the Tampa Bay area, which is not a frequent Hurricane target, but for me it is a big deal.
I don't know which is worse, the Huge Tornados and large damaging hail storms of Texas, or Hurricane possibility here in FL.

If the projections prove accurate it should hit just West of Panama City.
The one I'm worried about is Charley. Those storms that go through the Yuctan like the Texas coast despite what some of the early models look like. We haven't had a "Big One" in the form of a direct hit in the Corpus area since 1971 with Celia.
