The Iraq The Model blog reported this morning that local TV was carrying appearances from local officials who were taking a "no more Mr. nice guy" approach to him. Knowing how risky it is for those guys to speak out, I doubt that it's just posturing. I think there's definitely a go-ahead coming from the civilian side.
