Finally sutstantiation why a man thinks of himself as king of his castle. I know it's not PC, but at my house my hubby is undoubtedly the ruler of the roost. My wedding vows over 40 years ago said I had to honor and "obey." I challenge that vow a lot, but he'd be bored with me if I didn't.

How it relates to terrorism though is that in most instances, American men would do anything to protect their families. That "selfishness" includes preservation of their families, friends and fellow Americans - so that "selfishness" isn't all what its cracked up to be.

DANG, I tried to have that one inserted into the "traditional" vows at my ceremony and didn't quite understand that my Bride took that to mean ME to HER. But that's why I'm so happy now. Our 16th wedding anniversary is next week and I've never been happier. She handles the money while we both get an allowance. I freely admit I'm totally irresponsible with money. If it were up to me, we'd be the most financially destitute and best armed household in the nation. I'm the spiritual leader of the home but we make all other decisions mutually. If it really gets bad, I just give in, because nothing is worth jeopardizing the union.
