That book has them really spooked.
John O'Neill needs to sue B&N and Amazon......just for the hell of it.
Somebody hacked John Kerry's campaign website and made every picture of his face look all long and Lurch-like. I demand an investigation.
I complained to them, and others need to as well. I can't believe they have that McCain quote on their website.
I called McCain's office yesterday afternoon after seeing this on Amazon's site. They were completely in the dark. She pulled up the site (I don't think she believed me).
His office said they would look into it -- since what McCain said was not about the book.
I gave amazon.com feedback via their 'request a book' feedback form.
Maybe it will make them shake their butts on this. maybe not.
I'm posting this only to show that this needs to be dealt with, and this current thread must stay in Activism. Amazon is pulling a dirty trick.

They can try, but the book is still #1!!
Editorial Reviews
Senator John McCain
"Dishonest and dishonorable... none of these individuals served on the boat (Kerry) commanded."
So, the joke is ultimately on them. The inside of the book can't be hacked, so buyers will get the real book no matter what the hackjob was. Maybe some liberals will learn something from those pages.
Anyone doubt it's an inside job. Amazon got the idea from B&N.........
will have to order a copy right away!
"Thanks for contacting us at Amazon.com.
"I'm sorry, but we will need to research this situation further.
"We will write back to you with an answer in the next 1-2 business days.
"Thank you for your patience, and thanks for shopping at Amazon.com."
In other words: The Fix Is In.
I put the following message in their "Suggestion Box":
"There is a quote from John McCain leading the reviews of "Unfit for Command" that is not a review of this book. That seems inappropriate and very dishonest on the part of Amazon. I was intending to place an order today for a number of books, but that order will remain on hold pending the removal of the misleading information from this page."
And I will clear my cart if they do not change it today. The shame is, I have some good books I have already been putting off buying and without Amazon I have to make multiple trips to the bookstores to order them and pick them up.
We're gooooood.
Seems someone at Amazon has an agenda.
