Is that anything like musicians? Obstetricians? Physicians?
actually 1 tropical storm and 1 hurricane are currently heading towards florida....and neither are probably actually "breaking news".
I'm supposed to fly to southern Florida Friday morning and catch a cruise ship on Saturday.
I think I'm screwed.
Thanks for the heads up!
I'm down here in the Florida Keys and Hurricane Charley is expected tomorrow night.
YAWN.
After 30 years down here and oh so many hurricane warnings this one seems a bit on the wimpy side.
Alot of people sure do get worked up though, long lines forming at the gas stations, grocery stores selling out of water and batteries and the lumber yards had a huge run on plywood today.
My Bonnie lies over the ocean
My Bonnie lies over the sea
My Bonnie lies over the ocean
Please bring back my Bonnie to me.Bring back, bring back,
Oh bring back my Bonnie to me, to me,
Bring back, bring back,
Please bring back my Bonnie to me.

Just curious, but does anybody know if anything like this, 2 tropical storms/hurricanes hitting the same state in such quick succession, has ever happened before?
RUSH: For those of you in the state of Florida, the governor of Florida, Jeb Bush, has issued a state of emergency for the whole state. He's calling out the National Guard to have it prepared to deal with any ongoing emergencies. I want to prepare you for what might be said by the Democrats as a result of this, because after all this is Florida.
It's entirely possible, ladies and gentlemen, what we will soon here from the Howard Deans and the Michael Moore wing of the Democratic Party is that the Bush administration ordered Noah to create these hurricanes using new technology being developed to fight the war on terror. And so these two hurricanes have been created by the Bush administration, purposely targeting Florida for a number of reasons. A, to destroy the homes of poor people in Florida so they will not have voting on their minds when November gets here. B, the purpose will also be to distract the people of Florida from the sagging Bush campaign and to see to it that the post-convention bounce for Kerry doesn't continue to happen.
Basically, the whole point of these hurricanes is to disenfranchise millions of Florida voters in the run-up to the election. This will also set up a brilliant photo-op for the president as he can wing his way throughout the state on Air Force One, literally handing out millions and billions of dollars to people whose homes are destroyed by the hurricanes Bush created, thereby buying their votes and turning them into Bush voters after destroying their opportunity.
I would not be surprised if it happened. Obviously it's a long shot, but it's not as farfetched as anything else you'd see in a Michael Moore movie or anything these people happen to believe, that Bush created the hurricanes to purposely target Florida voters intending to vote for Kerry. It's all about disenfranchisement, ladies and gentlemen.
