From the dates and the reason for separation shown on the 214, it doesn't appear this is the final 214 for Kerry, but rather one issued on his separation from enlisted duty, and possibly before his tour - such as it was - in RVN. If so, he hadn't received a wound -such as it was - by then. Then again, maybe I misread it.
You don't get a 214 when you leave the reserves...So one wouldn't be there. You only recieve a 214 when you complete any form of active duty, Reserve members and Active members.
