God is in the details and He loves good cooks. May she be with Him in time for appetizers.
One of the few people I truly idolized is gone. Rest well, dear Julia.

I loved watching her in the late 70's early 80's drinking and always hiding her mistakes with that casual who cares wave of the wrist. I think she drank more before a show then we knew ;) That girl could cook up a storm of food that I would be scared to eat. But was fun watching her. Bon Appitit Julia

"She left behind all those knives?....I'm surprised the headline didn't read:"Julia Child dies, leaves behind "arsenal" of knives."

They're saving that for Charlton Heston, God bless him.

I'm only glad she wasn't my mother! Imagine having to go through life saying "I'm Child's child". Huh?

That should read:

She was born in Pasadena. Didn't know that.

She was a neat lady. Anybody remember the Dan-Akroyd-as-Julia-Child skit on SNL?? It was memorable....

Julia Child is survived by a sister, Dorothy Cousins, of Mill Valley, Calif., and several nieces and nephews.

Tomorrow's headline today:

Nephew: My Aunt Child has Died!

She got her start in television at 50, an age youth-crazed producers today would consider well past her sell-by date,

Another reason there isn't any good TV on today. How many teachers of a trade/art are accomplished at their skill so early. BTW I loved watching Julia Child even though I wouldn't eat most of what she created. Now I wouldn't turn down any of those desserts!
