You know, a Department of Amish would bolster the image of the US. Making me secretary at a 7-digit salary would bolster it more. It's about time.

We have a "Peace Department": Secretary of Defense.

We already have a Peace Department. I believe it's called the "Department of Defense".

automatic weapons and the violence in our schools I didn't know Class III holders committed many crimes? What's that? ONE? And by a cop?
This "Peace" dept is a waste of my money, and Cronkite is the epidomy of a biased media.

Statement: "Peace Department would bolster nation's image"
Response: More disturbing is the unreality of this type of "thought"? Kinda like changing the Department of War(realism) to the Department of Defense circa 1947.

Now, to some, this is going to sound terribly naive, given the current state of things and the very real, hard-edged dangers that face us. Hey look!! There was actually a sentence with some reason behind it. Too bad about the rest of the space cadet verbiage.
