You know, a Department of Amish would bolster the image of the US. Making me secretary at a 7-digit salary would bolster it more. It's about time.

I've been trying to get on the Steyn ping list forever. How did you do it?

We have a "Peace Department": Secretary of Defense.

We already have a Peace Department. I believe it's called the "Department of Defense".

automatic weapons and the violence in our schools

I didn't know Class III holders committed many crimes? What's that? ONE? And by a cop?

This "Peace" dept is a waste of my money, and Cronkite is the epidomy of a biased media.

Statement: "Peace Department would bolster nation's image"

Response: More disturbing is the unreality of this type of "thought"? Kinda like changing the Department of War(realism) to the Department of Defense circa 1947.

And to think . . there was a time, in my lifetime, when this dolt was the "most trusted man in America."

We've come soooo far . . . THANK GOD !

Now, to some, this is going to sound terribly naive, given the current state of things and the very real, hard-edged dangers that face us.

Hey look!! There was actually a sentence with some reason behind it. Too bad about the rest of the space cadet verbiage.
