The Cold War and the USSR's missiles were a very dangerous time for the Free World.
Where was Kerry on that threat? Voted against every Defense appropriation.

These days we have a threat arguably worse.
Two bit thugs that while they can't destroy us in 30 minutes, can and do have the will to do us in.

Kerry still is on the wrong side.
He voted to gut our intelligence, and defense.

This threat can't be ameliorated with talk, diplomacy or money.
They want to kill us.

It must be destroyed with force.

Kerry is NOT the man to do it.

As a military officer of roughly equal grade to Kerry when he served, I have two MAJOR problems with his service.
ONE: His holiday in Camobodia story, designed to get political benefit and to be a slam at Nixon, by implying that the covert operators in Cambodia were forgotten about by Nixoon. Well his fellow swifties claim that it would be impossible for him to be in Cambodia. The Dem reply to this is that maybe he thought he was in Cambodia and later learned that he was mistaken. It is every officers responsibility to know where his unit is at all times, there excuse implies that Kerry was either lost or failed to maintain situational awareness.If this is the truth then Kerry is an incompetent buffoon who is not qualified to be a head cleerk at a 7-11 much less Commander-In-Chief of the most poowerfull military on earth.
SECOND: The biggest priviledge that an American Military officer will ever get is to lead brave American soldiers in combat. John Kerry abandoned his men after four months in country. None of John Kerry's Purple Heart worty wounds were sufficient to get him MEDEVACED from Vietnam. He lobbied higher headquarters to leave his men and come home. This is a clear example of Kerry's lack of character and moral courage. A real LEADER would have to be drug away form his men kicking and screaming.
This is the lack of integrity that the swifites are decrying and why John Kerry is "Unfit for Command":

In war you do what you have to do and sometimes it’s not right, you have to live or die with what you did or didn't do, sometimes it's just your decision. This must be very true of seal team members who were on very critical missions. Sometimes..... Well its sucks.

But to come home and make thinks up about regular service that taints the entire effort is wrong. I never heard Bob Kerry do that. But I don't like his politics and defending John Kerry might just come with the territory.

Well sometimes you can get real hungry and desperate but I understand that these guys have been backing Kerry through several election campaigns. I just don't get the service time frames. I would like to see their bank accounts before and after each election cycle. Sorry, I don't mean to offend anyone but five weeks or four months for that matter, even in a war zone, is very short.
