PASS THIS ON -- Is Swiftvet John O'Neill a Bush stooge? No, HE VOTED FOR GORE!
Hugh Hewitt show | 8-14-04 | dfu

Posted on 08/14/2004 6:53:37 PM PDT by doug from upland

A little more than three decades ago, a young man named John O'Neill served his nation aboard a swift boat in Vietnam. Today, the mild-mannered and eloquent attorney from Texas is serving his nation again.

O'Neill and the book UNFIT FOR COMMAND have become the biggest nightmare in the Kerry campaign as the campaign tries to fool Americans into actually making a totally unqualified man the commander in chief.

From James Carvile to Lanny Davis to the rest of the hacks in the liberal media, O'Neill is being pummeled as a stooge of President Bush.

Let the word go forth that week after week after week after week, the DemocRATS have told lie after lie after lie after lie. O'Neill is no Bush stooge. In fact, he has not voted for the Republican candidate for president since 1988. Much to the chagrin of his wife, in 2000, JOHN O'NEILL VOTED FOR AL GORE! (source: Hugh Hewitt interview with O'Neill, 8-14-04)

O'Neill and the rest of the approximately 240 men who served with and around him, have come forward and, in many cases, put their jobs on the line to warn Americans of the phony that is the DemocRATic nominee for the presidency.

Godspeed, John O'Neill. You can count on the FReepers to back you 100% in this effort. Thank you yet again for answering your nation's call.

I heard O'Neill try to say this last week with Carville and Matthews. He was shouted down to such an absurd extent that few picked up on his statement.

Good thing Hewitt was paying attention.

Thank you for this tidbit. Now I've got some ammo for the next time some left-wing wacko tries to throw that "Rassman is a registered Republican" crap in my face.

The Swift Boat was the only job Kerry ever had in which he actually had to run something. So his performance is fair game.

I received my book late today and am already 1/2 way through it. It's unbelieveable what a self-promoting liar he was/is. It frightening to think he may be elected to lead our military. My son is entering VMI next week and I shudder to think this moron may be his CinC by the time he graduates.

Great site but I really think that it could be much more effective at influencing a great many more people if you were to drop the use of the "F'n" in his name.

Just my $0.02

I'm relieved to know this. I really like the John O'Neill that I've seen this last month, but I hate a guy named John O'Neill whom an old girl friend kept trowing up to me. He was Mr. Perfect etc....ad in finitem. Even gave a nominating speech for Nixon at the 1972 convention.

I would suspect that John regrets that vote now. But the point is that he is not on Bush's payroll. He is doing this not for politics but out of patriotism. Many of those who came forward would be voting for the RAT nominee if it were not Kerry.

He's also been quoted as saying he would have voted for Edwards if he'd got the nomination. I think his law firm is big on environmental cases.

O'Neill said the same thing during Matthews "Softball" attack this week (Perot twice, then Gore). He voted for Humphreys (not Nixon) and his parents were long time Democrats.
