Ain't It the Truth

Posted on 08/16/2004 5:39:27 AM PDT by xzins

Ain't it the truth.

Lemme see, have I got this straight?

Clinton awards Halliburton no-bid contract in Yugoslavia - good... Bush awards Halliburton no-bid contract in Iraq - bad.

Clinton spends 77 billion on war in Serbia - good...Bush spends 87 billion in Iraq - bad.

Clinton imposes regime change in Serbia - good... Bush imposes regime change in Iraq - bad.

Clinton bombs Christian Serbs on behalf of Muslim Albanian terrorists - good...

Bush liberates 25 million from a genocidal dictator - bad.

Clinton bombs Chinese embassy - good... Bush bombs terrorist camps - bad.

Clinton commits felonies while in office - good... Bush lands on aircraft carrier in jumpsuit - bad.

Stock market crashes in 2000 under Clinton - good... Recession under Bush - bad.

Clinton refuses to take custody of Bin Laden - good... World Trade Centers fall under Bush - Bad.

Clinton calls for regime change in Iraq - good... Bush imposes regime change in Iraq - bad.

Clinton denounces terrorist training in Afghanistan - good... Bush destroys training camps in Afghanistan - bad.

No mass graves found in Serbia - good... No WMD found Iraq - bad.

Milosevic not yet convicted - good... Saddam in custody - bad.

Ah, it's so confusing!

An email blurb that came across my desk that I liked. I haven't seen it elsewhere, and it wasn't signed, so credit where it's due...whereever that might be.

Recession under Bush - bad

Should be... Bush leads recovery from inherited recession.

Thanks....I agree.

It's simple and sweet. Think I'll email it around.

I agree with that....it should be rewritten/fine-tuned.

No, America was acting in good faith in both cases. There were unintended consequences, but there always are.

You forgot "Clinton leaves the country during the Vietnam war and protests the US in England - Good...Bush serves his country but liberals insist he went AWOL without showing any proof he did - Bad"

"Clinton spends 77 billion on war in Serbia - good."

Where'd you get the $77 billion figure?

The only item that was missing from the original list was this,

Bill Clinton approves gigantic tax increase and is regretful:

Good

George W. Bush approves modest-as a percentage of the entire budget-tax reductions and is defiant:

Bad

I like it.

Kerry serves 4 very short months in Vietnam and then acuses Viet Vets of being baby-killers -- good. Bush serves 4 years in Vietnam era as fighter pilot guarding our borders and then helps in pro-soldier political campaign -- bad.

If you read my first post, you'll see that I didn't write this.

However, Clinton promised 1 year in Bosnia and "a rescue" in Kosovo. I was in Germany in 1996, and it began before I got there, so it's been nearly 10 years of sending divisions, brigades, air wings, etc.

I'd guess it was an exceptional price tag early on, and it hasn't stopped. But, I repeat...I didn't write it.

I suppose it belongs to history now.

Kind of like all those folkie tunes that have been passed down from generation to generation through oral tradition.

The first time that I heard this list, it was being read by Mark Levin on his local WABC talk radio show.
