Sunday, Aug. 15, 2004 12:32 a.m. EDT Sen. Intel Chief Calls on Kerry to Release Records
Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Pat Roberts called on Sen. John Kerry to release his Intelligence Committee attendance records on Sunday - as controversy swirled over claims that the top Democrat was mostly a no-show during important hearings.
"The easiest way out of this is for John Kerry and John Edwards to request [Committee Vice Chairman] Sen. Rockefeller and myself to release the attendance [records]," Roberts told NBC's "Meet the Press."
TOPICS: Politics/Elections
KEYWORDS: awol; intelcommittee; kerry; kerryrecord; senateattendance
Pat Robertson futher stated that one had to show up to gain expertise. He found this out himself at the very beginning. He implicated that Kerry lacks expertise. He said Kerry should ask his attendance records be released. Clearly, if he does not, it is because he wished to hide more lies.

Is it not a matter of public record WHO attends these in their duties for the Senate? It should be.

I think it was Joe Scarborough who said last night that In the year immediately following 9/11 John Kerry didn't show up for a single intel briefing.

You could make some pretty devastating ads out of this. Women seem to be voting on the security issue this year, so if Kerry is portrayed as someone who doesn't care, he's toast.

Why must Kerry request the release of his attendance records? Why can't these just be released by the Committee?

It's not for peons like you to assess how a senator does his job, you know.
You're improperly questioning your betters.

Is it not a matter of public record WHO attends these in their duties for the Senate? It should be. The non-public meetings of the intelligence committe are not regularly published, which makes some level of sense based on the sensitivity of what they discuss.

We don't need an agenda, just confirmation about attendance. Too bad kerry is hiding again.

Kerry taking a break from campaigning stops the attacks on him about his attendance at "INTELLIGENCE " school.
