KERRY-TALE: No. 1 - John O'Neill is a Republican operative

Note: this is No. 1 in a series that will be exploring Kerry-tales. Please add your links for this item.
===========================================

The Kerry camp is very, very afraid of UNFIT FOR COMMAND. They are trying to paint co-author John O'Neill as a Republican or Bush operative. Here are a few of the facts:

-- O'Neill gave $7,000 to republicans, and $25,000 to Democrats in the last 15 years.

-- O'Neill has not voted for the GOP presidential candidate since 1988 and voted for Al Gore in 2000.

I have seen O'Neill's name mentioned in the Houston paper as an enviromental lawyer. It is ALWAYS in connection with enviromental issues. I figured him to be a raving lib but I am coming around to see him as a very principled guy. If he says he voted for Gore, I believe him but thought he was smarter than a Perot supporter. (Sorry folks thats the way I see it.)

I really hope folks are noticing the tactics of Kerry's campaign with this issue.

Who but the luniticleft fringe are they trying to impress? To label/tar someone as a 'texas republican' seems to only feed the hatefilled base of Kerry's party. Are they afraid that support is that wing will weaken over this? I'm sure they are trying their best to investigate John O'Neill and all the contributors to Unfit for Command to dig up whatever dirt they can.

The democrats are behaving like the mafia.

But you know what? John Kerry has done one good thing recently. He has given men like John O'Neill the opportunity to clear their names of the scarlet letter John Kerry branded them with 30 years ago. And by G-d I hope the Vietnam Vets in this county who Kerry trashed get their sweet revenge for what Kerry did.

Kerry is an opportunist. He trashed Vietnam veterans in the 70s, but now uses them in his campaign. It is time to restore the honour of service people who served in Vietnamm.

LOL. And, he admitted it! That tells me he's honest. Don't know of too many people that will admit it.

Kerry has a very serious problem with the "Swiftboat Vets For Truth". When the Swiftvets can motivate thousands of people including myself to voluntarily turn loose of money after seeing their ad, they have something powerful going on. They filmed a new ad today in Washington. I can't wait to see it. Donations for six days was around $450k. The new ad will get even more free airtime.

KERRY'S BOAT SINKING SWIFTLY
I believe the entire dialogue will change as more and more people actually read the book. Reading the entire book changed my perspective, and strengthened my case against Kerry. I urge everyone to read it first, and then post your comments.
The ad triggered the controversy, but it is the book, especially the 2nd half that is the most damning

re:KERRY IN CAMBODIA:

First it was Christmas in Cambodia. then it changed to " maybe it wasn't exactly in Cambodia, but in between the two", then it morphed into "it was really January in Cambodia". The latest is that "Kerry was an agent of the CIA on a secret mission, that he cannot discuss "

"Maxwell Smart reporting for duty"

Of course we are. But the other side is trying to marginalize John and the guys as political operatives on a partisan missiion. They are not. This has nothing to do with Bush. It is between the patriots and a traitor who harmed the reputations of his comrades. It is time their reputations are restored and they are given the respect and honor they deserve for serving this nation.

Even is O'Neill had given a million dollars to all DemoRats, they would still yell,"Smear Campaign". I keep hearing from the DemoRats about how the SwiftVet ads will hurt Bush and I have to agree somewhat. It's probably hurting Bush from laughing so hard at Kerry's self destruction.

I think that "jebanks" like many others who discounted O'Neil as just another political hack are now convinced he's for real. Anyone who pays close attention to O'Neil as he quotes facts from after-action reports and the swiftvets that were there and Kerry's own words from his biography can see that O'Neil speaks the truth. None of Kerry's crewmen have come forward to refute anything O'Neil has said. Just think about that. When will they be allowed to speak without Kerry's permission?

O'Neill voted for Perot twice and for Gore, some Republican operative. He votes for indiviuals over party. He is very opposed that Kerry as an individual.

Well spoken

He does not work for Kerry's law firm. I know him and I doubt he'd ever give a penny to a Democrat

I didn't say he worked for Kerry's law firm

John O'Neill (vet) said he didn't know where the other money donated to REPUBLICANS came from and said it could have come from the other John E. O'Neill .. but he didn't know for sure

Manchurian candidate could be said about J f'n kerry except his pain and torture was serving 3+ months with regular American guys.He was so far above that it was torture to him. After slandering all compatriots he encased his rage in most every decision he made later.

I personally thought he was just some pawn dug up somewhere for the campaign's purposes.

Nonsense. O'Neill has been on Kerry's ass for the last 30 years about his phony war record and his treasonous anti-war activities thereafter.

The fact that neither john kerry nor his cohorts refute the statements and allegations made by the SwiftBoat Vets is prima facie evidence that they are true.

john kerry's minions are reverting to the time honored lawyer tactic of "When you have no case, attack the other side's case".

Since there is no way to defend against the truth, they are attacking the messagers.

If what the SwiftBoat Vets were saying was untrue, kerry would have long ago refuted the statements.

He cannot release his medical records because they would coraborate the Swifties statements.

He cannot allow his "Band of Brothers" give interviews alone because they would get tripped up in one of their lies.

He has trotted out the dnc hit team with little or no positive results for him.

The main stream media have not been able to help him on this.

As a result he is now reduced to "producing" seeming "regular joes" to make and give "I am not here to praise Caesar, I am here to bury Caesar" speeches.

If you listen to Rush Limbaugh, you hear them calling all the tims saying, "I have been a registered Republican all my life but I am not voting for Bush because.... or variants of same.
