President Bush hit the campaign trail today for a two state trip to Pennsylvania and West Virginia. The President spoke at a rally at Hedgesville High School in Hedgesville, W. Va. While in Pennsylvania, Bush visited Boeing Company in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania and got the inside scoop on the CH-47 helicopter. He also spoke at a rally outside the company. Meanwhile, First Lady Laura Bush was at a 'W Stands for Women' rally in St. Louis, MO. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

On the other hand, you can't own a gun in England.
Given a choice of rights, to be able to drink at 18 (was 21 nationwide when I was a kid) or vote at 18 (was 21 nationwide when I was a kid) or to have the right to own a gun, do you have a preference?

The drinking age was raised back to 21 in many States here when the death toll on the highways soared due to drunk teens killing themselves and others.
It doesn't mean that teens don't drink, but they are less likely to drive a car when they are drinking illegally, and the penalties for bucking the legal drinking age are not harsh.

**I think so too. What I plan to do when I have kids is let them have a little bit of alcohol as they grow up. Maybe a little bit of wine or something if I'm having some. That way when they become legal, they'll be less likely to want to run out and get drunk (or before they become legal).**
I agree with you I think that this is far the best way to control it at home and teach the youngsters how to deal with alcohol in a safe environment. Unfortunately many young teens come from such unstable backgrounds that this is not possible.

The pleats and other styling details in that vein go a long way to add interest in the absence of jewelry, which the First Lady doesn't like to wear.

I've attended some FR chapter functions and struck up acquaintances with some local FReepers -- a nice experience. Do you have a local FR chapter?

I'm telling you, Laura gets better looking everyday. Whatever she is doing, it is certainly agreeing with her. Thinking the same thing myself. It seems to me she has lost a little weight and that it is accentuating her high cheek bones. Classy and good-looking.
