Foxx wins Fifth District Run-off.
Might want to add this to the ping list. Thanks.
I thought better of N.C. Does this mean that the Dem will be more conservative than the Republican?
rinos everywhere rejoice...
Awww, too bad. I sure would have voted for Robinson.
By how much?
He'll try again, won't he?
Darn.
Vernon Robinson would have been a much better choice! Foxx's approval rating by the NCAE (the North Carolina arm of the largest union in America) and her 100% approval rating in 1999 by the ACLU should have been ample warning to any who were deceived by her claim to be a real conservative.
Drat!
Bad!
A Great American is said to have made the following statement:
While people may not always get the kind of government they want, they always get the kind of government they deserve.
Perhaps this is the case here.
As much as I hated bill clinton, after he was re-elected I never complained about aything he did to America. I cussed him and damned him to Hell for a million years for doing it but I never once complained.
The night he was re-elected I said, "What ever he does to us we deserve. The people know what a sob he is and still elected him, so what ever he does , that is what they want.
Tough luck Huber (heh, heh)...
Go, Foxx, GO!
Real classy, dude....should have taken some lessons from Vernon tonight in that department, when he threw his support behind Foxx. Anyway, hope your gal doesn't lose this Republican stronghold to a Democrat after her selfish runoff. If so, the blood will be on your hands, not mine. No skin off my nose...I'm in the 13th District. Your problem, not mine!
Vernon set the "high" tone in this campaign...maybe now he will grow up and learn how to be a "classy" conservative in the TRUE tradition of Jesse Helms!
BTW, I'm a personal friend of Ballentine...at least we agree on something...
I wish Foxx luck, as she may need it. Not getting any of my help, though....I support conservatives, not RINOS.
I too support conservatives, but only when I feel certain that they have enough saavy not to embarass the conservative cause like Robinson does...his commercials sounded like they were put together by the members of an arrested adolescents support group...Foxx will be feeling the heat from me to make sure that, if she is not a conservative now, she'll find her conservative "roots" very quickly...
At least Bush and DeLay can rely upon Foxx's vote on crucial issues.
Tell Ballantine to show some attention to the voters west of I-95. Last I saw, he was 20 points back from Easley. Also, I need some of his stickers and yard signs (contacted his office twice in last month, no response). Ballantine is a good candidate, but needs to get his act together and get Robinsonesque in his ads about Easley's dismal performance as governor.
I can't argue with you there...I think you will see a turn around in geographic focus in the coming weeks...
