Kerry's fellow 'Swiftees' dispute his Purple Hearts
The Washington Times ^ | 8/18/2004 | O'Neill & Corsi

First of three excerpts

In the history of Swift Boats in Vietnam, all military personnel served a tour of duty of at least one year unless seriously wounded. Among the few exceptions was John Kerry, who requested to leave Vietnam in 1969 after four months, citing a regulation that permitted release of personnel with three Purple Hearts. Kerry, now the four-term senator from Massachusetts and the Democratic presidential nominee, is also the only known "Swiftee" who received the Purple Heart for a self-inflicted wound. None of Kerry's three Purple Hearts was for serious injuries. They were minor scratches, resulting in no lost duty time. Each of these decorations is controversial, with considerable evidence (and in two cases, incontrovertible and conclusive evidence) that the injuries were caused by his own hand and not the result of hostile fire.

Wondering if Teresa is ready to dump the candidate yet? After their screaming fight the other night, have they gotten back together yet? Anybody know? Maybe she is discovering what John ONeil and the other Swiftees already knew.

"The doctor's account
Kerry somehow "gamed the system" nearly three months later to obtain the Purple Heart that Hibbard had denied. How he obtained the award is unknown, since his continued refusal to execute Standard Form 180 means that whatever other documents exist are known only to Kerry, the Department of Defense and God."

Doug Brinkley has rotten egg all over his face. He needs to hold a "press" conference and explain how he was seduced by this snake.

I just saw on Fox News, of all people, who said when the ad first ran it was not a big deal, wee willie Kristol major league supporter of Johnny McCain that JFKerry and his campaign need these "CREDIBLE" Swift Vets to GO AWAY!!!!

I'm telling you, when I read the paperwork on the first PH and I saw where it took Ketchup almost three months to get someone to "sign off" on the medal after Hibbard had initially denied his "request", I knew that there was something fishy about it!

*bump*

O'Neill is not mincing words here. Kerry's PH's were improvidently granted, period, based on Kerry's fabrications at the time -- and the proof is incontrovertible.

Last time I looked at the documentation on Kerry's website, all three PH commendations were there in PDF format. All signed on the same date, all signed by "Lehman", who would not be secretary of the Navy for years in the future- Lehman had nothing to do with the Navy in 1969, iirc.

Odd little things, records.

I agree, one has to wonder how he pulled off this medal collection scam.

We are not talking about "sanity" here, this is beyond the bizarre. Amazing how easily so many people are seduce by con artists.

And if we can ever get the Navy medical records,
I believe they will put a fork in the turkey.
He's done!

You'd be surprised what someone can get accomplished at the Officer's Club after a few rounds...

I'm beginning to think that the Swift Boat Officers and Sailors were happy that regulation was there so that it could get this idiot Hanoi john away from them. I'm not a combat veteran but I am an U.S. Air Force veteran of seven and a half years in the seventies. I didn't live through what you guys did and I can only imagine what it feels like to have someone in your outfit that could get you killed just because you couldn't trust him to back you up. God bless all our people in uniform past, present, and future.

You are correct, surprised is a good description, however, to have the mind to lay the foundation to become president, is not a common to 99.9% of the population.

JFKerry has not been able to pull this off alllll by himself, he has had lots of help.

JFKerry is speaking to Vets on Fox News.

Years ago, Curad (I think it was) came out with adhesive bandages like that. They called them "Battle Ribbons" and they were very popular for a while.

I remember hearing them advertised on the Arthur Godfrey radio show. (Reveals my age, I know!)

Wouldn't it be something if Kerry's military records were "leaked" out of the Pentagon. Rummy and/or his lieutenants must know the contents of them by now, right?

The Navy screwed up royally, Kerry should have been shipped out of there...I know we didn't have that kind of problem in the Marines when I was in the bush in Nam. If we had a screwup, we choppered him out A.S.A.P.!!!

Giving this clown 3 PH's, a Silver & Bronze Star is a slap in the face to all those honorable and brave G.I.'s who legitimately earned them!

I really understand why Kerry is absent from so many Senate hearings.... He feels guilty when he is in the same room with a real veteran.

The American people better listen to you guys that are combat veterans. Otherwise I'm afraid of what thing will happen. Hanoi john will give us and everything that is American away. Thank you Kellynla, you are farther up the veterans ladder than I. God Bless all our people in unform past, present, and future.

Well, Joe, if I ever run into any of these liberal clowns, Kerry, Kennedy, Michael Moron et al, I will read them the "riot act"!!!

And it is up to all FReepers to educate their family and friends of exactly what Kerry is all about!

He disgraced the uniform he wore and he betrayed his fellow Viet Nam veterans and their families with his lies and his antiwar protests!

Semper Fi,
Kelly
