KERRY BACKED KOREA, EUROPE TROOP REDUCTIONS THREE WEEKS AGO!! (FLIP, FLOP, FLIP FLOP, FLIP FLOP)

Sen. John Kerry is blasting President Bush for his plan to withdraw 70,000 troops from South Korea and Germany. But less than three weeks ago the top Democrat said he thought such troop reductions were a good idea, specifically naming Europe and Korea.

"I will have significant, enormous reduction in the level of troops," Kerry told ABC's "This Week" on Aug. 1.

"I think we can significantly change the deployment of troops [in Iraq], not just there but elsewhere in the world. In the Korean peninsula perhaps, in Europe perhaps. There are great possibilities open to us. But this administration has very little imagination."

Addressing a VFW convention on Wednesday, however, Kerry bashed Bush for taking his advice, charging that cutting our forces in Korea "is clearly the wrong signal to send" at this time.

As noted by the Weekly Standard, which unearthed the Aug 1 Kerry quotes on its web site Thursday, "Who knows what Sen. Kerry believes? Does Sen. Kerry even know?"

Aug 1st is NOT the only time he talked of this. He had done so on two previous occasions at a minimum during the primaries.

President Bush simply followed John F*ckin's own advice. Now Kerry thinks it should be disregarded. Well if he thought it wasn't sound, he shouldn't have mentioned it in the first place. 'Nuff said!

Unbelievable. On how many issues can this guy take both sides before his numbers start sliding?

How true. A debate with two Kerrys would be fun to watch.

And then he voted for it and then he voted against it and then he voted for it, no wait... against it again.
How can this man be a candidate for President of the United States. He's got a split personality

This guy (Kerry) is a freaking idiot! I guess he's too used of the days of liberial media dominance when Dems words went unchecked (ie Clinton 1992)!

Interesting that on the ABC This Week website, you can find a page for just about every show date except the 8/1/2004 show. Of course you are invited to buy the transcript for $19.95.

I think you are onto something there, but I'd say he's beign multilateral since he takes multiple stands on the same issue ... That's be a great defense in the debates for W ...

KERRY: ... this president has unilaterally acted, and that not the way a president should act.

BUSH: I appreciate the advise of my opponent. He is a genuine multilateralist in the truest since of the word. In fact, he's taken both sides of every issue at least once and sometimes twice!

His numbers are sliding.

W's gonna win, but it won't be without a fight, and it will be despite Karl Rove's apparent stupidity.
