For the life of me, I can't imagine how the Democratic Party ever let Kerry get within a million miles of a spot on a primary ballot.
What the hell were they thinking?

I'll give John McCain about an hour to come up with the DNC rebuttal......

They live in an alternate universe in Mass. Junior Senator is a traitor. Senior Senator is a murderer.

What the hell were they thinking? Hoping the liberal media would hide the truth; Swifties are forcing their hands.

They brazenly let Kerry onto the ticket, because they thought that truth had been trumped by McCain-Feingold. They arrogantly thought that the sordid past of Kerry (subject of the new ad) could not see the light of day, since the Republican Party would never have the nerve to use the information.
They never conceived of what $100,000 and truth could lead to.

They've been getting away with lies, deception and vicious attacks for years, so I guess this time they were a little too full of themselves. I dunno.
Then again, I don't believe this is the end of Kerry.

For the life of me, I can't imagine how the Democratic Party ever let Kerry get within a million miles of a spot on a primary ballot. The Boston Globe failed to investigate Kerry's war record for thirty years.
I would say that this is an example of something coming back to bite you.
I guess there is justice in this world.

Do you get the impression that the Marxists are feeling relevancy slipping from the grasp? They seem as though they are desperately trying to consolidate power in a last gasp push for their agenda. That is before the Marxist baby boomer idiots are gumming oatmeal, sitting around in Depends.

The ad is devastating, yes. Kerry will get "the call." I'm absolutely sick to my stomach, AC, just thinking of the possibility that HRC is going to be flown in to save the day....a premeditated Torch/Lautenberg switcheroo. Remember the "will she run in 2004 or 2008" threads? She was already running for 2004 when we were debating; Kerry is the placemarker. She's doing the same campaign she did to get into Senate with refinements. She can't handle the scrutiny and she can't handle herself publicly on a campaign; she's running her Senate campaign with a touch of Torch/Lautenberg, maybe Kerry's files, her book (replacing the NY "listening tour"), WJC et al making speeches and traveling internationally, etc. AC, feel free to tell me I just didn't get enough sleep last night; the other options I'm thinking are making me nauseous.

I've often wondered the same thing, but then I go back to, How the heck did he ever get elected to the United States Senate the first time? How did he get re-elected repeatedly?

"What the hell were they thinking?"They were thinking they'd destroy the rightward trend in public thinking since 9/11/01 by bringing back the very same conditions that got them so much power in this country in the first place.
