The issue here is not the truth of the ad...in the political arena anything goes. The issue is whether the Bush Admin is collaborating with Mr. Perry, the fellow who put up the couple of hundred thou for the SBV ads (compared to the 15 or so million George Soros has committed to defeating Bush).
What collaboration? I think the successful homebuilder is perfectly capable of deciding where and when to contribute to political causes on his own. Kerry is going to have to better than allege that some people who have donated to the vets know Bush or Rove.
I agree. I was responding to a poster who said the FCC would be investigating the truth of the ad. They don't do that.
Mr. Perry can do what he pleases with his ads and I for one am going to financially support the SBV.
