I agree with everything you wrote, and if that was all that was going on here, there would be no real problem.
Did you notice the fax time stamp on the top left of the fax....August 18 5:56 PM?
Do you know who was in Gainesville, Florida on August 18 in the evening, appearing about 8 blocks away from where this rally will be held? (notice that the event hasn't taken place yet).
Del Sandusky.
Del Sandusky of the "I support John Kerry and the Swift Vets are liars" fame. Mr. Sandusky appeared August 18 at 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Unified Training Center (809 W University) in Gainesville, Florida. They basically had a 2 hour "Hate Bush" fest. I believe that we have a video of the entire event too. There were plenty of MoveOn.org supporters in the room that night with Mr. Sandusky, a personal representative, an emissary if you will, of the Kerry campaign.
Coincidentally, the Downtown Plaza is located on University & Main Street and I wouldn't be surprised if the flier was handed out at or around this event or posted on one the "flier post" that are found in that area of town.
Read the FREEPER After Action Report posted by Chieftain (Veritas et equitas ad Votum and OPBuzz were also in attendance).
Any chance that Mr. Sandusky saw some opportunity in what otherwise a poorly-worded flier to claim a false connection? Hmmm.
Well, it would be fair to say that Mr. Sandusky would be able to get ahold of Mr. Kerry and/or his minions, so it is not that far of a stretch.
Isn't it just a little coincidental that 1 of 6 men that is being dragged across the country to show support for Kerry was in Gainesville Florida right about the same time that the fax was fax to someone, who is now publishing the fax? Why Alachua/Gainesville?
Just a little odd, don't you think?
So, just to recap.
1. There is a vaguely-written flier that has the name of several "like minded" groups (meaning, they could all be generally classified as anti-Kerry) to an event that hasn't even happened yet and doesn't have any official or representative from the Bush-Cheney campaign as the keynote speaker.
...and...
2. An event, in Gainesville, already took place and at the event a personal representative of Mr. Kerry and Mr. Kerry's campaign was the keynote speaker where the event was attended by many MoveOn.org supporters.
Now, which one of these events appears to have coordination?
That, my friends, is what you call blowing the lid right off of this story and exposing it for the weak charge that it is.
The democrats are beyond desperate.
Also, don't know if anyone else on this thread commented on this yet, but the flyer says VETS not VETERANS. I pointed it out here:
The Kerry Kool-aiders are grasping are straws. There is NOTHING remotely wrong with this flyer. They are just trying to make something out of nothing.
If you really wanna show your disgust with Kerry, follow the instructions below:
Freeper N. Theknow says:
"Its faster than a checkbook, more powerful than a Democratic demagogue, able to lay waste to a liar Kerry with the single click of a mouse. It's a little bird of truth, it's plain to see Kerry's unfit... it's... it's...SuperFReep!

"Time to go play in the 'lefties' sandbox."
Gotta love it!
Where's that whiney demobaby face graphic when we need it?
I didn't notice that.
So, technically (just plain the democrat "be very precise with words" game), it has nothing to do witht he Swift Boat VETERANS for Truth!
Oh, I reposted this comment as a thread because I wanted to get this detail out. Reposted here
Michael Moore ended up being invited to the Dims convention.
I got both threads. I'll call you tomorrow.
Here is a quick list of various Dimwit and 527 cooperation. Some can probably be discounted but I'm sure a more exhaustive search would put to shame this silly claim of the flyer in Alachua County being a "smoking gun"
I will be going to this location tomorrow to see "who" is there. Will advise as info becomes available.
...the Chair of the DNC goes to the Washington premiere of Michael Moore's movie and cites as fact specific (and bizarre) allegations from it.
...the Dem's presidential nominee cites specific allegations from Moore's movie (long vacations, seven minutes doing nothing) in his stump speeches.
...Michael Moore is seated in the Presidential box at the Dem convention.
...the most recent Democrat Vice President of the United States and other Kerry surrogates are playing tonsil hockey with MoveOn.org.
...MoveOn's efforts are funded by a guy who has given them 15 times what this "big Texas donor" gave the Swiftees, and he is a committed Socialist who has declared it his life's mission to depose G.W. Bush.
And as for all the "six degrees of separation" charts that "connect" the Swiftees to the Bush campaign, watch this:
Kerry to Gore to MoveOn to "Bush is Hitler" ads.
Kerry to Michael Moore to "Bush is Hitler" ads (Moore was a contest judge).
Kerry to Michael Moore to MoveOn to Moby to ACT-PAC, the organizers of the anti-bush concert tours.
Betcha I can connect Kerry to Jim McGreevey just as quickly...;-)
It wouldn't be a big deal, however, the Kerry campaign is trying to take this story national as evidence that there is some coordination between the Bush campaign and the Swift Boat Veterans.
I happen to be right here in Gainesville (on the front lines) and have some local intel that seems to be relevant for several reasons.
In fact, it might just be bad writing, often seen on local political fliers. It could be that they wrote "Swift Boat Veterans" when they meant "Will feature material from the Swift Boat Vets" or some such.
Also, it's not collusion if a Swiftee addresses a group of Republicans, and if there were real collusion the Kerry campaign would be able to point to thousands of fliers just like this, not just one. Yawn!
Don't deny it! You know it came right from the top, just like when Bush called Private Lyndee England and told her to go have sex in front of Iraqi prisoners! :-)
No. This is Amerika, after all, we have laws here.
I'd actually go, if the Vietnam Veterans Against Kerry weren't involved. Ted Sampley, the head of that group, is no friend of the Bush family, and I won't validate him by my attendance. Read what this jerk had to say about the first President Bush:
http://www.usvetdsp.com/story46.htm
Reflecting on those comments this year, Kerry said they were too harsh. "I think some of the language that I used was a language that reflected an anger. ... The words were honest, but on the other hand, they were a little bit over the top," he said on NBC's "Meet the Press" in April. *** Source

Unfit for Command [Excerpt] Kerry's testimony to the Fulbright Committee was a carefully orchestrated piece of political theater. Fulbright wanted a presentable, young Kennedy-esque face to put on the antiwar effort, and Kerry wanted a national forum from which to launch his climb to political celebrity. Ted Kennedy helped arrange Kerry's testimony with Senator Fulbright at a private fundraising event held at the home of Democratic senator Philip A. Hart of Michigan.
Once Kerry learned that he would have the chance to give testimony before the committee, he recruited the assistance of Adam Walinsky, a speechwriter noted for his work with Robert Kennedy. Walinsky drafted the speech and coached Kerry on its delivery. The only image Kerry wanted us to see was a myth: a young man with a burning passion for the truth, the leader forced to sleep on the ground, the man answering his country's call to be where he was urgently needed, before a committee of the United States Senate where the senators and America were urgently waiting for his firsthand criticism of the war. He porceeded to level his charges: [End Excerpt]

I'm beginning to wonder how long this political theater was in the making.

Kerry's World: Father Knows Best**** .As early as prep school, John Kerry showed signs that he shared his father's suspicions about America's cold war foreign policy. In a debate at St. Paul's in the late '50s, he argued that the United States should establish relations with Red China. During his junior year at Yale, he won a speech prize for an oration warning, "It is the specter of Western Imperialism that causes more fear among Africans and Asians than communism, and thus it is self-defeating." And, when he was tapped to deliver a graduation speech in 1966, he used the occasion to condemn U.S. involvement in Vietnam, intoning, "What was an excess of isolationism has become an excess of interventionism." .***

Yeah, or invite him to their Convention?
