You all have probably already found this but I thought I'd repost it anyway:

"The Democratic Party is partnering with MoveOn.org, People for the American Way, Campaign for America's Future, and dozens of other groups representing millions of Americans to organize a massive public mobilization. On Wednesday, May 14, join us by calling and emailing your representatives in Congress to let them know that the majority of Americans oppose more irresponsible tax cuts that go overwhelmingly to the wealthiest sliver of Americans."

Message sent by Democratic Party Women’s Vote Center in May, 2004.

I'm confused. Why is the gap "widening" (according to the Beltway Boys) in the electoral votes. They've got Kerry ahead by a big margin...???

Yeah yeah. It's always President Bush who did it. I seen this happening for years. The guy that screaming the loudest is only trying to cover his own trash up. Hanoi john is whining and I don't care. I'm voting for President Bush and Hanoi john can do anything he wants about that including trying to keep me out of the voting booth but I'll fight my way in! God Bless America and all our people in uniform past, present, and future; and the Commander in Chief President Bush who has done a Great Job Leading. One Nation Under God with Liberty and Justice for all, but not with Hanoi john.

What's the difference between this AP story and a Kerry-Edward press release? Isn't it interesting how the Kerry campaign can just call up the media and dictate a story with the exact spin that Kerry wants?

That's how we got to this point: Kerry just kept pumping out all this Bravo Sierra about how he Rambo'd his way through the Mekong Delta, and the press just lapped it up with a spoon and regurgitated it without scrutiny. This fawning coverage p*$$ed off the Swiftees for Truth, and they fired back. Kerry, unaccustomed to anything except Lewinsky-type adulation, is shocked and offended.

The fact is, the media has been doing a Lewinsky on Kerry for more than 30 years, adoring him as a god because he joined the anti-war movement. And now it's all backfiring.

If this is the case then why hasn't this been brought out before?

"Attacks," huh?

I bet if a Republican was involved the "attacks" would suddenly morph into "questions."

Waiting for Kerry to stand up and apologyze to the thousands and thousands of Viet Nam vets he slandered.

McCain seems to see only bad motives from President Bush and is blind to his cohort Kerry.

Thinking back on the McC issue at the time of the last election. I seem to remember he did the same thing as Kerry is doing now. He intimidated those vets who complained about his handling of the POW issue. He threatened them, he effectively shut them up.

These vets are not going to be intimidated. They speak for all the families who were devestated by Kerry AND McCain's failure with regard to the POW issue.

McCain could have overcome attacks from vets. To non-vets, the sniping and infighting doesn't have a lot of impact. It's like the Shaq / Kobe feud. Most fans would rather they just stop carping and focus on the game at hand.

For the most part, McCain was running on his record as a Senator, his reputation as a "maverick" and on his signature issue of campaign finance reform.

The reason McCain lost is that Campaign Finance Reform is now and was then a complete dud. Nobody understands Campaign Finance Laws. Nobody cares about them when they're broken. If anyone did, then Bill Clinton and Al Gore would have lost in landslides.

With Kerry, he is not running on his record as a Senator, and he does not have a signature issue beyond "I'm not George W. Bush". Frankly, that's the only issue any of his voters care about.

If Kerry is torpedoed by the Swift Boat Veterans, it will be more for the way he reacted to them than the specific charges leveled against him.

Kerry is handling this very, very, very badly. He's had nothing but harsh words directed at Bush for 2 years. He claims he will fight a more effective, smarter, and sensitive War On Terror. Yet in his greatest moment of crisis, he calls out to George W. Bush as THE ONLY MAN IN THE WORLD powerful enough to stop these attacks.

Someone should point out to McCain the remarks of Rep. Duke Cunningham who was a long time prisoner of war in Vietnam. He has nothing but contempt for Kerry. Indeed, Gen. George Patton III believed that Kerry's actions and words cost the lives of men in his command. If this is true how can McCain "forgive and forget"? Either FBI files or Keating 5 secrets come to mind.

HILL TO HEAD KERRY 'TRUTH SQUAD' (Kerry Cries for Hillary's Help)
Yahoo News/ New York Post Opt/ED | Aug 23, 2004 | Fredric U. Dicker

Posted on 08/23/2004 8:39:49 AM PDT by Conservative_boy_in_Bangkok

By FREDRIC U. DICKER

JOHN KERRY'S presidential campaign, which slighted Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (news - web sites) during the Democratic convention last month, now wants the former first lady to lead its "truth squad" at next week's GOP convention, The Post has learned.

Party insiders said that aides to Clinton were engaged in "intensive talks" over the weekend with Kerry's representatives about the role she is expected to play.

"It will be high profile; she will be one of the responders at the convention, probably focusing on homeland security issues," said a source familiar with the talks. "I think it's fair to say the Kerry people realize Mrs. Clinton could be very effective."

Another insider said, "It's ironic that after they snubbed her in Boston, they now want to use her in New York." ...(Snip)

Why did they have to have McCain's blessings? I don't think so, they're just trying to say what's happening to Kerry is what happened to McCain. I think McCain will be angry to be put in this position. But as far as getting McCain's permission on this, I seriously doubt it.

The Kerry camp cannot afford to have McCain's wrath come down on them...that's why I think they must have gotten his permission. Or ELSE they KNEW that McCain wouldn't say anything for fear that the VICIOUS Kerry Camp would put something negative out on McCain!!

Has McCain condemned this ad??? If it speaks VOLUMES about McCain!!
