Seems Dole has a huge streak of integrity.....to say the least.

Republic, I think you said earlier that you are too young to have been involved during the anti-war movement years. You wonder why no Bigmedia anchor has brought up Kerry's book.
The reason is this: Bigmedia was very much in favor of the anti-war movement then. They do not want anything brought up now that will expose that complicity.

I was very proud of Bob. I admit when I heard he was coming up I was nervous about it.
My husband and I actually did a high five at one point he made.

To date, Bush camp has been excellent with their ready response.
You are right. Dole was and still is, a very up-front guy. As much as I was disappointed in his '96 run, I always respected his love for his country and his independent streak. I didn't see Blitzer challenging Dole's points. Did you catch Dole's little jab about Kerry's injuries not even drawing blood? You can see disgust at the Democrats' tactics - maybe some residual from '96?
Bob Dole a real hero is right. 5 years in a war, 3 years in a hospital, 23 operations and WHAT, only two purple hearts.

Kerry camp shrieking that the clips are out of context......and that Kerry admits his charges were excessive and due to his youth.............
I was asking the same thing last night. John McCain to my knowledge has been totally silent on this subject. I also wanted to know if his permission was needed to use him in this manner. He leads the re-election campaign for Bush in Arizona
Suddenly, he's silent.
But then we know McC is so full of hatred towards our beloved President.
...due to his youth? Ha. So was Bush's when he got his drunk driving ticket. Didn't stop the media from having an orgasm right before the election.
Wasn't he around 27-28 years old when he made these allegations? This excuse will never fly.
Does he really want to defend his and others' allegations which allowed for our POWs to be tortured and killed at the hands of the VC? I can't wait to see him try.
CNN: film clip of Kerry in outrage mode about Bush's plan to pull out troops from S. Korea. Just 2 weeks ago, Kerry was advocating this move.

One problem that I have with Dole and some of the other Republican politicians on this morning is this crap about "we should be spending our time talking about the issues".
Hey, Bob Dole, President Bush has been doing that, continuously. The diversion is an issue between Kerry and the SBVT.

I just feel so GLAD that he called Harkin on the carpet......just cannot believe how the old guard conservatives are standing up and being counted!
My GOSH! Bob Dole had to run against an incumbant president who not ony dodged the draft...but wrote anti-military letters to his draft board and fooled around in England as a Rhodes Scholar (begining to wonder about THAT program!), was accused of assaulting a girl while there, and what did we get as a result of re-electing a man, who like kerry, trashed our military? A man who refused to take direct and overt action in fighting the building terrorism of al queda.
Would the network press hide kerry's background, his writing of the book 'The NEW American Soldier" (the one with the upside down flying American flag-the book kerry has PULLED from print!), and allow a man with this background to assume the responsibility for our national security - and all just to get 'their man' in office?
