I've begun a separate savings fund for spending during the holidays. We don't put anything on our charge card that cannot be paid for in full when the bill arrives.
Same with our kids.....they don't ever pay interest on their credit card purchases.

My wife and I have already done 75% of our Christmas shopping. We buy a present here and one there whenever we fine them thru out the year.

We are an Eddie Bauer, Lands End, LL Bean family here. After I received my latest EB catalog, I don't think I'll be giving them our business anymore. They've partnered with some environmental group and have a couple celebrities touting this group. I don't even have to look it up to know that it's a wacko organization. =(
