Milk has quite a bit of sugar in it.
IMO, there is ample evidence linking sugar and obeseity.
Hmmm - never saw that site before. My son is allergic to cow's milk, not lactose-intollerant, there's a difference. There's a strong link between cow's milk and eczema, from what I hear.
Oh please. I am a 64 year old woman & life time milk drinker. I have bones like the doctors can't believe.
Did my mama teach me not to drink soda much, yes. Do I think the gubmint has the moral right to give that advice binding force, HELL NO!
I was raised on carrot juice and my kids will be raised on carrot juice.
In the old days they let a cow or goat, have a calf and then humans partook of that milk. Plus the animal was allowed to graze. Now they confine the animal, and feed it very strange stuff, and as it gets diseased, they begin to pump it full of antibiotics. Then they figured out if you pump it full of hormones, it gives more milk. Now the animal is stressed and begins to manufacture white blood cells which is added to the volume of milk produced. So, better to let nature provide the milk.
Babies need more fat than the rest of us and can process the saturated fat of breast ( and other ) milk . From age three one really should strictly limit the intake of milk and meat products in order to prevent artherosclerosis . Many boys in our society have significant coronary artherosclerosis by the time they reach late adolescence .
Oh, geeze. Not this crap again.
So what is an/the alternative ... besides water?
What I want to know is...Where do they get the orange cows...that they get the orange cheese from?
If you don't drink milk or milk products, what do you do? eat oyster shells?
After reading these posts, PETA has definitely succeeded in their mass propaganda - or there sure are a hell of a lot of DU'ers here (Highly likely!)
