Oh boy, this just keeps getting worse for the DNC's pet Benedict Arnold. Funny thing is, if you've read Unfit for Command, you already know EVERYTHING that is going to eventually come out. It doesn't get any better for F'n John.

Kerry's M-16 rifle jammed, so he picked up the M-79 grenade launcher, Schachte said.
Cannot even keep his own gun in shape and wants to be President. This guy has stumbled through life as a total opportunist. I can see why the rest of the crew wanted him out of there. People do what he wants just to get rid of him.

Not a member of the SVBFT, never contacted by the Bush campaign, voted both Dem and Rep.
He only came forward after hearing others on tv claim that he was not on board that night.

A true hero wouldn't even consider accepting a purple heart for these kinds of injuries, especially if it meant he could go back home, while his buddies continued to fight and die on the battlefield.

It's too bad that Kerry has opened this can of worms by centering his Presidential bid on his military record.
A retired Rear Admiral who was ON THE BOAT with Kerry, and in command (what was the admiral's his rank at that time?), says no enemy fire.
This whole tawdry situation is most unfortunate. Nobody really wants to believe that Kerry could be so opportunistic as to significantly exaggerate some of these incidents.
Almost I begin to feel sorry for the man. Not for "baseless attacks" against him, but because of the emerging facts which indicate that the criticisms do indeed have significant basis.
There's no way that so many decorated officers, and others who served with and near Kerry would trash their own beloved reputations by simply lying for George W. Bush. It's simply unprecedented.
Where there's smoke, there's fire, and I don't think Kerry will bounce back from this.
Kerry might be able to pull his butt out of the fire if he issues a sincere and direct apology for his POST WAR activities. Maybe, but I think he'll have to.
If not, he will continue to be characterized as having slandered the US military in a broad way.

"Schachte, also a lieutenant junior grade, said he was in command of the small boat called a Boston whaler or skimmer, with Kerry aboard in his first combat mission in the Vietnam War. The third crew member was an enlisted man, whose name Schachte did not remember"
Its a shame he can't remember the name. Then we would know which enlisted man is lying for sKerry. I think its very typical of sKerry to lie and claim that he was in command on his first combat mission.
