Moment of silence for Russian victims

Posted on 08/27/2004 12:08:34 PM PDT by msp2004

This is just a question - I am wondering if we should have a moment of silence or something to pay respects to the Russian victims of this latest terrorist attack. At least before the world decided to hate the US they mourned with us over 9/11. I really feel like this incident in Russia is being downplayed. Don't blast me.. just a thought...

A good thought. Innocent victims of the most insane, demented ideology the world has ever seen.

Of course the event has been downplayed. Its not in the media's interests to remind us there are people out there WHO FRIGGIN WANNA KILL US ALL.

Sorry for shouting.

I agree it's being downplayed, big time. This could easily have been a new target practice for the rest of us.

A moment of silence and prayer is a lovely idea.

I've already had mine in prayer for these poor people. Innocents murdered once again by Islam.

You have a good idea. Maybe a moment of silence at the Republic Convention?

A moment of respectful silence is in order.

Perhaps the Russians will join us now....

Nothing wrong with a moment of silence for innocent victims. However, the government of Russia should be chastised since it wouldn't support our war on terror in Iraq. The war on terror is global and to think that you can handle it alone is bunk.

Perhaps we could get the Muslims or Palestinians to shut up and stop whining for a few seconds or minutes. That would be refreshing.

YES< A good thought--We are all in this fight. They feel the pain we felt on 9-11. Russia and America united in grief and suffering. The President should order the Flags at Half Staff for 24 hours in solidarity with the Russian people.

No blasting here. An excellent idea in my opinion.

I pray for the innocents lost in the crashes, their families and friends. May our Lord and Saviour hold them close,

The Convention next week could make some kind of tribute.

The question I have is how many people are going to have to die at the hands of Islamic terrorists before the nations of the world unite and do what has to be done?

Moment of silence and prayers would be fitting. Thanks for suggesting it.

I think a moment of silence at the RNC would be a good idea, along with an offer to lend them any investigative help they may need. (Somehow I'm sure the President has already offered the help of the NTSB or FBI should the Russians want it.)

When a Russian official was talking about this he stated flatly that it was a MUSLIM woman.

This human will be offering a prayer for the people who just died.

Just remember: Islam, the religion of peace!
