I recall seeing laughing college students on the telly (from Wisconsin?) saying they voted 4 and 5 times for Gore that day. They weren't challenged, and many of them did it. There were stories of church buses taking people to vote after church on the Sunday before the election (black churches). Where was the outcry in the face of such blatant disregard for the law?

There's a current article here on FR the last couple of days where college students in Arizona plan on registering to vote in AZ. They can vote absentee in their home state from a month to 3 months before the election, then register in their college state a mere 3-4 weeks before Election Day and go vote at the polls. (OF course these students say they're for Kerry...Kerry must win at all costs.)

The notion of it being unlawful to have to prove you are who you say you are when you show up to vote is ludicrous...this is one of the most important things a citizen can do, and it's "illegal" to try to prevent fraud. Why NOT require a photo ID, link databases with SSN or DL identification nationwide, and have very harsh penalties for voter fraud? Because it might offend an illegal immigrant who registered through motor voter? Because it might make it more difficult for RATS to perpetuate rigged election results? Bah! It's infuriating to see the groundwork being laid for yet another orchestrated stuffing of the ballot box and not even a stern look being offered to the breathless braggarts. (My .02)

"(if I knew I could get by with it)"

Stepping from the hypothetical into the real world, let's consider that, in most states, the actual list of registered voters is only slightly different than a telemarketing company's phone list.

Thanks for an honest answer.

"Problem is, the state I live in is solidly Bush. The same goes for most states I'd have a vacation home in"

So, if the state in question were not up for grabs, the answer would be "NO".

Sounds reasonable.

If they could just stop voter fraud, Pres. Bush would win by a land slide.

This is why it is so critically important to control state legislatures and especially the Justcic Department, including the FBI. And this is also a big reason why the rats are so scared to death that Bush will win reelection.

The reasoning is easy:
GOP Justice Department = vote fraud gets investigated and prosecuted.
Rat Justice Department = vote fraud gets enabled, covered up, and rampant.

And if my aunt had...

And if a frog had wings, he wouldn't bump his ass every time he jumped.

Wonder how much these double (and triple?) registrations connect to the "low voter turnout"?????

If you had 800 outstanding warrants you would not want to show an ID either....:)

The Wisconsin legislature passed a voter ID bill, and Governor Doyle (D) vetoed it. Gee, I wonder why!

How many of the leftist students at the Madison U of W are registered and are voting double for the Dems.? How many students are on that campus now? 60,000+++? This is the same state that was offering cigarettes to homeless voters in Milwaukee in the last election. Only SOME got caught.

There is another big area of possible double registrations and voters, The homeless.

Actually, I read an article on FR recently about attempts to investigate voter fraud in FL. Of course, the article (a column or perhaps editorial from NY Times) was very much against it, and called it "voter suppression" aimed at keeping blacks from voting.

Yes, massive Democrat Voter Fraud is something we have to fight every year. I'm getting sick of it. I want to see some SOBs thrown in jail over this. Seriously.

I want to see some Democrat vote fraud operatives beaten to within an inch of their lives, who will never walk or talk the same. Seriously.

This is a war by any means on our Republic. Fighting it with any means neccessary is only reciprocity.

Bring digitals to the polls. Take pictures and videos of everything that might be fraud. If I see voter fraud this November, somebody will have to bail me out.

It is true, and the numbers are there for all to see: Cities where 102% of eligble voters turn out. Of the 20 million plus illegals, hundreds of thousands vote illegally. Democrats flood the nursing homes to help the incapacitated vote "correctly." The fraud numbers are EASILY in the millions nationwide.

That is why I think a war by any means neccesarry is the only valid response. Spread fear among the illegals. Take pictures just outside the legal limits from polling places. Our nation is being stolen from US! This deserves the same response as a foreign occupation.

No, I would not. We are all of us flawed humans, but generally we conservatives look for--and sometimes struggle toward--doing the right thing. Even if it means our enemies winning a round. On the other hand, I know of liberals who suspend the dicey morality they do have when they believe that the cause is big enough, or important enough. Of course, they decide that as they go along. Thus, I know of liberals who thought there was nothing wrong with stuffing the corpse Lautenberg into a senate slot, because, "We can't let the Republicans control the Senate"--said in hushed, self-important, ends-justify-the-means tones. I know of Pennsylvanians registered here and in Florida who think it is absolutely justified for them to vote in both places, because the Republicans are..."so evil." It's a moral mission, then. Breaking a federal law is okay, because they are so selfish and immature that they think their beliefs justify illegal and immoral behavior.

That may be one of the fundamental differences between libs and conservs.

Double registrants isn't the problem. The problem is what they tried to get away with in Florida and were exposed when the votes were examined: the person at the ballot box took a bunch of blank ballots and tried to stuff the box by punching the slot for the D candidate. Simple as that.

I did the same when I was a kid. Difference was I was at a major league baseball game voting for the all-stars with the same punch type cards. If you didn't "clear" the hole, the thing we now know of as chads either stayed on a corner or were "dimpled." Hence the terms we all became familiar with.

Every single one of those ballots in Florida that were hanging or dimpled were fraudulent ballots. They weren't, as some assumed, used by people who were too stupid to know what to do. There may indeed have been plenty of ballots used by those, but not the ones described above.
