Rather personal question, don't you think?

I have no worries at all. I know the earth is indeed flat.

"Scott said the stigma surrounding HIV in Alameda County prevents people from talking about the disease and seeking treatment. By condemning gay marriage and also calling homosexuality a sin, Scott and other AIDS activists said the pastors were losing an opportunity to help control the disease that has hit the county hard."

Their good at finding excuses for men of the cloth Not to stand up for morality. Society can do both; speak out against gay marriage AND be compassionate to HIV+ people. It is not an either or kind of situation.

Politically, the black community is an enigma to me. I don't understand how they (as a group, there are certainly exceptions) have stayed so solidly on the DNC plantation for so long.

DNC loyalists are that way because of emotion, not logic. I see that in my Black friends, in older people who were blue collar workers, in single women, etc.
I pull my hair out over some of my Black friends who agree with me on nearly every social issue, but will vote Dem, because not to do so would be "betraying their brothers and sisters".

I do think the Black vote is like a row of dominoes, though. When it gets to be a choice instead of an automatic vote, a lot - maybe as many as half - will vote GOP.

Is anyone tired of the media and those they choose to support lumping gay legal unions and AIDS issues together? I know I am.
