Man suspected of smuggling people

TIJUANA – A people-smuggling suspect is facing charges after Mexican immigration authorities captured him with two people of Iraqi origin at the city bus station.

The suspect, Mouakkeh Mouhamed Rouchdi, is apparently of Syrian-French background, according to Mexican authorities.

He arrived in Tijuana this week with the two others after traveling from La Paz, Mexican authorities said. He was allegedly charging the two others $10,000 each to transport them illegally into San Diego, Mexican authorities said.

The other two people were of Iraqi origin but had Greek nationality, Mexican authorities said. The two flew from Greece to Paris to Cancun. From there, they flew to La Paz, where they took the bus up the Baja California peninsula to Tijuana, Mexican authorities said.

Ten thousand dollar fee, they went through Greece, Paris, Cancun and mexico. Heck of a ride to "get a job an American does not want." I'm sure they did all that just to come here and pick oranges.

Damn it, damn it, damn it, this is getting ugly, and people are going to DIE because of it. If the ACLU thinks they're hooting and hollering over our border policies now, they're going to be facing a sh!tstorm of Biblical proportions if there's another attack.

Looks like those predictions of another attack are going to prove to be quite accurate. If the border is not closed after all this AND another attack, in which it is revealed the attackers came across from mexico, best get to rotating your stock and get fresh everything in house. Don't forget medical supplies . . .

If anyone is doubtful as to the wisdom of my suggestion, understand that this is the sort of intelligence and enemy activity I would expect to see prior to an attack. That would be based upon examining these facts from strictly a military aspect.

*G* The price has gone way down. That must mean there's plenty of competition among Coyotes running these peace lovers across our border. Draw your own conclusions.

Agreed completely. There is an imminent threat inside the borders of the continental United States, and people are whistling past the graveyard about it. We are in deep dog doo, people, and I predict that sometime in the next 60 days, there is going to be an incident that redefines the character of this country.

We've got to close those borders to illegal traffic. It's beyond political at this point, our very survival as a Constitutional Republic may depend on it.

Twenty grand coyote fee for two border bunnies. Ya don't have to be a CIA analyst to figure this one out.

It's obvious these people aren't coming here to wash dishes and pick lettuce.

I have a feeling they want to do to our election what they did to Spain's. Terrorists (islamics) conquer by terror and they intend to do to us what they're doing in Indonesia and the Sudan.

Increasingly, I find myself drawing political inspiration from Michael Collins and Jean Marie Le Pen.

Ya, know I hate to be so callous, but we know the first attack was carried out by people on expired, overstayed, and misgotten visas, yet supposedly it does not occur to anyone to secure our borders and really take control of the INS. Huh? The people who do not find this odd that we are fighting a WoT yet leave our homeland open, are either completely ignorant or just don't care.

Just to be fair (and THAT measure of a good American may soon be forgone from necessity) there are two other possibilities.

Hidden Agenda

Strategic Agenda.

I don't hold a lot of hope for the latter.
