Tony Snow on Saturday let a drunken Susan Estruus (sic) rant on and on without interruption. She was really off her meds and Tony did nothing. I guess the word has come down from Murdoch to go left or else.
That is a surprise. Yesterday, a comment on CNN about W was decidedly left of center. Then, I turned the channel.
Who are you supporting for President?
I don't watch it very much lately either, for the same reasons. And all Greta does is replay Scott Peterson, every day, for almost two years now....before that, it was constant coverage of the DC snipers....
My channel, for the past several months, has been on SciFi at least 75% of the time that I put on my t.v., with 25% Fox.
Used to be the other way around.
Relax out there!!! Fox News is little different than it's been the last number of years. They have covered the Swift Boat Vets by giving both sides a say. Even Carl Cameron traveling with Kerry brings up both sides when reporting on his campaign. O'Reilly is always trying to show both sides, but he still hammers the hard left more than the hard right. As someone said earlier, Drudge reports the cable ratings frequently and they have been consistently on top. And speaking of Drudge, he has always shown both sides of the issues. Fox News is not going to change what got them there. Roger Ailes hasn't "buckled under pressure" in the pas....why would he do it now??
You have just pointed out one of the inherent biases in the news. They set up the interviews to make it seem like there is always controversy or conflict. It creates the drama that sucks in the audience. I think Fox loves this technique more than any other station. It's all about ratings and advertisement money, not reporting the news.
Please FReepmail me if you want on or off my FoxFan list. *Warning: This can be a high-volume ping list at times.
Thanks for the ping!
I'm supporting Bush... but I might just go ahead and vote for the constitution party candidate, perdoutka (i think is his name) just because it really doesn't matter who I vote for as far as president goes in Oklahoma. i'll be voting for coburn (R) for senate also.
Thank you for supporting Bush! I hope you will cast your ballot for him, even if it were not necessary - just to keep the popular vote very high so the Dem's won't complain if the electral college vote is different again.
