NEW YORK - The 2004 Republican National Convention today announced an initial schedule of podium speakers, program participants and entertainers for the five official convention sessions at Madison Square Garden on Monday, August 30 through Thursday, September 2. Additional announcements and program details will be released in the coming days.

"The outstanding lineup of Republican Party leaders, elected officials, and entertainers who will take to the stages of the Garden this week are a testament to the strong leadership of President George W. Bush and the support for his vision of a safer world and a more hopeful America," said Bill Harris, CEO of the 2004 Republican National Convention. Why does the program not take place in the daytime after Monday? The Dems were on seemingly all day every day.

I was wondering the same thing. Well, if this is the full schedule, so be it. We'll get more stuff done!

They said our convention in 2000 was a dirty trick, too.

They just say it because they lie.

I hope he calls Kerry a "girly man"

LOL!

Then we could have days on end where Kerry and the media demand that Dubya "denounce" Arnold.

hahahaha

There's another going.

Same people, same discussion, but less pics. :(

I understand that last night after I left, someone posted some all-too-risqe' pictures of Shannen Doherty. JimRob himself pulled the plug.

Pity. But we probably WOULD have gotten out of hand sooner or later. Us whoremongers are like that.

Republicans do things in the daytime, unlike the demoRATS,

who can be stupid and unproductive 24/7.

"Wow, what a music line up. Fantastic."

Not. The only names I recognize are Worley, Brooks and Dunn, and the Gatlins. All Country. Where's the ROCK?

Couldn't they have at least gotten Alice Cooper, Ted Nugent, and Marylin Manson to spice things up? They're all Pubbies.

I like Country myself, but I also like some Rock. This is in NY, FGS. You want to fire the crowd up, make it memorable. It's supposed to be a big party.

"Third Day" will be playing per schedule above. They are a Christian rock group.

The schedule above isn't completed at any rate. They've listed other performers that will be in attendance that aren't on that list.

You may find others you like, maybe not. I'm curious about the additions they say will take us by surprise.

You provide no indication of which news mediums you speak. The MSM is upset most of the time, primarily because liberals are perpetually unhappy.

If they are upset at what is planned for the Convention - wonderful! That is a good sign indeed. We can rightfully be buoyed and cheered by it.

People do not read or tune in to seek media unhappiness and whining - as indicated by falling circulations and decreased viewing.

I saw something recently that stated ZZ Top would definitely be coming for the convention... but now they aren't on the line-up?

Ditto on Cooper and Nugent. Keep Manson away though. He's said some nasty things about Dubya the last few years.
