Anyone else catch some more details on the radio last night about this..(Kitty Kelly's 5 year expose on the Bush dynasty)
I caught the tail end of the discussion with Lucianne Goldberg, has anyone heard what may be in this book?
I thought the more outrageous the claims the more likely the person would end up on LK's show. LOL
I'm shocked that Larry even reads the book excerpts for his guests at this point in his career!
Maybe the media leftists are starting to realize the harm they are doing to their cause.
I don't think they can be too outrageous or they'd've never gottn by the publisher's hot and juicy lawyers. I think this is just hype to sell an otherwise boring book that's doomed to be remaindered shortly after publication.
It was on the radio last night during his gossip talk with Lucianne, no printed story as of yet..insider New York book world stuff
I don't know of anything recently, but isn't Kitty Kelly the author who accused Bush #41 of having an affair? There was never any proof of that, but it was played all over the major news media. Compare that with how the media have tried to silence the Swift Boat Vets.
When is this due out, October?
I was listening to Matt and Lucianne last night, missed that part. Who said it, Matt or Lucianne?
Drudge said it last night, but I assume he got the story from Lucianne.
I still think the King non-appearance is a publicity stunt to gin up some interest. Yawn.
Drudge mentioned last night in passing that Jenna's drug use may be in the book, but that was already in Premiere Magazine story last summer with Aston Kutcher..
This is the same witch that said Nancy Reagan was sleeping with Frank Sinatra. She is trash but most in the media will eat this book up.
Drudge seemed to have something definite that Kitty was going to go after Jenna, maybe Larry considers the kids out of bounds..
WOW...Larry King is still around? What channel is he on? Good for him for scamming someone to still give him a paycheck.....
It was mentioned that Kelly was going after one of the Bush daughters for alleged drug use. The problem with Kelly is that she is so gutter level that no one will take her seriously. Most people are already immune to the attacked on the Bush family, and his popularity among Republicans is not affected. This will backfire on the Democrats, just like the street demonstrations in New York.
If this *itch prints lies about the family, especially about the twins, President Bush AND Laura will fight back, IMO. They are not going to have their daughters trashed by another Republican-hater.
It was Jenna and coke, from what I heard last night..from what Drudge said on air--he let it slip so fast I wasnt sure if what I was hearing was correct!
King does what he's told :) This book will be a bore. That's why they need the hype. And if Kelley doesn't appear, she can't disclose that the book had bupkis in it, sensationally speaking, and sales won't be hurt. Until word of mouth relays that info anyway.
If Larry won't put her on, who will? The only media outlets left may be Al Franken and Jeanene Garafaol!
If the subject is a liberal or a star he asks questions to let the writer let themselves look like a genious. That's how he gets them to come back.
And Kitty has already been discredited from the last time she tried to spread stories on 41.
I'm sure "perky" Katie will be more than happy to interview her. Larry King has Kitty on quite a bit and she is really smarmy, very satisfied with herself.
I'll bet Larry read Kitty's excerpts himself, no one in town has been able to get anything on this book at all yet.
That's why she'll get more bang for her buck by doing a bunk. Pretty sad, isn't it?
I stand corrected, Katie Couric/Diane Sawyer/Barbara Wa-Wa/Oprah would be falling all over themselves to get their hands on this book..
I tend to avoid books written by people named "Kitty." I don't think I'm missing anything useful.
No one really believed her tales about the Reagans, why should they start now?
Just keep this story on the radar, could be the mainstream media's reply to the swifties controversy if they all get on the bandwagon..
Kelly's big sellers, are rumor ridden gossip tomes on Jackie Kennedy, Elizabeth Taylor, The Royals (which can't be sold in Great Britain), Nancy Reagan, Frank Sinatra, and now The Bush Family.
If the media, led by Larry King, refuses to promote this obvious election timed hit piece on the Bush family, I'll be thrilled.....and very very surprised!
C-Span quick!!!
I have it on!!! LOL!
You might possibly be right, but the left is also very pragmatic -- they know that outright lies will result in sympathy for a good man, and will re-elect Bush.
It happened previously. The left howled and screamed and lied about Reagan. Remember Patricia Schroeder, the sweetheart congressman from Colorado? She resorted to some of the worst name-calling of Reagan and got lots of press for it. It wasn't true and all it did was result in Reagan's landslide victory in 1984.
I thought she was one who said that Mrs. Reagan had an affair with Sinatra.
What were her claims?
I was so thrilled with the Gatlins, I didn't want you to miss it.
That's the only reason I can think of why Larry won't have her on
Well, it's hard for a middle-aged guy like me to remember details from 20 years ago, but Schroeder delighted in calling Reagan the "teflon President." They and their media friends also called him a moron and a dunce (sound familiar -- it's been the left's tactic for a long time).
But in general, the left blamed every problem in the USA and the world on Reagan. AIDS (not enough funds to cure it); breast cancer (greedy corporate executives aligned with Reagan); the Cold War (Reagan prolonged it with his military buildup -- the Soviets were really nice curmudgeons when you got to know them); poverty (Reagan lowered tax rates); education (Reagan didn't sign federal legislation giving teachers raises); etc.
It's out September 14. Get ready for the front-page Times article on it, like they did with Kitty Kelley's Nancy Reagan book. Maureen Dowd wrote the article/smear about the book's allegation that Nancy Reagan had an affair with Frank Sinatra.
Just got an email about a new book by Neil Bush's ex trashing W and Laura and saying both used drugs. Says Bush used coke at Camp David...anyone heard this garbage yet?
Care to bet that the bookstores will have this prominently displayed right next to their front doors and cash registers?
Since when did Owl-Face grow a spine?
