I noticed some expressing a desire for some of those PURPLE HEART shaped band-aids worn by protestors. They're called BraveHearts.
I happen to have two boxes...SO I looked to see who made them--the BEST NEWS: THEY'RE MADE IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!!!
The producers:

I think these cheapen real Purple Hearts almost as much as Kerry has
imo
We have those at work, I work at a military college, and in the first aid kits we have camo bandaids and purple hearts.
I heard they are being called "Purple Owies"!
"I think these cheapen real Purple Hearts almost as much as Kerry has"
I agree with you 100%. The Purple Heart is awarded to our military personnel who are wounded in action. To wear these bandaids as a political statement is to diminish the service of those who were awarded a Purple Heart legitimately.
I served, but was never wounded. My father served as a B-17 pilot in WWII. He has a Purple Heart, and was wounded by flak while on a mission. He still has shrapnel in his leg from that incident.
When I see someone mocking the Purple Heart, in any way, it ticks me off. We should discuss Kerry's PH, but should not diminish the medal in any way or dishonor those who were awarded it for legitimate injuries in battle.
Let's act like adults.
You are certainly justified to hold that opinon. I hold the opposite. The gesture is a shot at Kerry, nothing more.
BTTT
"You are certainly justified to hold that opinon. I hold the opposite. The gesture is a shot at Kerry, nothing more."
That may well be, but it's a cheap shot. Worse, it may well alienate other veterans who don't believe that their medals are legitimate fodder for satire.
Do we need cheap shots to win this election? I maintain that we do not, and that such activities diminishes our purpose.
I oppose all of this nonsense. Let's get down to discussing issues and leave all this petty nonsense aside. There's plenty to discuss.
Link no longer works.
I too, disagree here. It is a political shot at Kerry, and not wounded veterans. The people who support President Bush are the greatest supporters of the military and their intent is to make sure President Bush gets re-elected. Kerry sucks, and this is one more way to illustrate it.
Sorry bub, Kerry ran on his Vietnam record. He made it an issue, not us.
It may. Some people are inclined toward being offended.
