Hard to know which channel to settle on. Andrea and Chris would rather talk balloons than give Bush the praise he deserves. Peter Jennings was very laudatory, but I only stayed there long enough to hear George Will say, the first part of the speech wasn't as good as the second part.

OH I agree with Mort! Kerry is still going to be a day late and a dollar short....giving his foot stomping "you called me unpatriotic" speech tonight after this magnificent speech. He will look foolish!

Ralph Reed on CNN, repeating Bush's best lines, makes clear contrasts between Bush and Kerry. Jeff Greenberg says big cutbacks in auto industry gonna hurt Bush, whatcha gonna do about that Ralph? Ralph says, we focus on what we can control, we got the best candidate, and the best grass roots organization ever. Take that Jeffy!

Now Wolf Blitzer showing very well behaved protestors outside the Garden..then he shows audience at Springfield OH, the people waiting for Kerry and Edwards to speak.

Y'all, I was a nervous wreck through out this speech, becasue of the protestors, I"m glad it's over, but it has to be that this convention and this speech, will give us a great bump.

I deserve a break wiwth Lee Ann Womack!

I give the speech an A-. The first part dragged and it was too long. Still, any time you get a 108 interruptions, you're going to drag. Perhaps, considering the circumstances it should be an A?

I'll give it an A on the curve.

I'm convinced more than ever that we are attached at the hip. After the first protester (and my shouting some rather unlady like language over the poor security) I held my pillow until it was over.

You MUST turn on MSNBC now. I am stunned to hear David Gregory talk about the anxiety people feel over Iraq and our President's leadership that he's heard many times on the campaign trail, and then to say he was touched to hear our President talk about the pain he went through in making that decision and went on and on to praise his speech.

Poor Edwards is going to try to make shit shine.
