Isn't the speech supposed to be embargoed?
I dont think they want it embargoes, it gives the press a chance to nitpick and the give the Bush team to make quiet corrections. Plus if people read it or hear about it in part, they may be more eager to view in and watch it in its entirety.
Somewhere there is a disconnect between a compassionate conservative willing to take away from John to give to Tom. In former years that was called communism. Now if John wishes to take his money he has left over from his huge tax burden and give it to Tom, that is charity. Charity is a virtue and should be encouraged. Forcibly coercing and taking from John to give to Tom is tyranny and should be discouraged. It's a long way back to freedom so you should start early and pack a lunch.
