A senior White House official, speaking to reporters before Bush’s address Thursday night, said, “Senator Miller was speaking on behalf of himself and obviously on behalf of himself.”

He also spoke for me, if he needs my vote for something he will likly get it. 2008

This is patently false. Miller said - twice - that he didn't question RAT (F'ing in particular) patriotism. What he said he questioned is their judgement.

Yep, Zell specifically said he wasn't questioning their patriotism, only their judgement.

And who is the source for the information that Zell was being deleted from the Bush family box? Makes me question the judgement of some Freepers, who'll believe anything including their worst fears.

I don't care for the term "angry" in these cases, I prefer "motivated".

The most acid hatred goes to apostates! The Democrats--especially the Democrat Media (also known as CNNNBCCBSABCTimeMagNYTimesLATimesUSATodayEtAl.)--are choking on their own venom!

I talked to a close friend, who is an independent, this morning. She said "He made me wanna just ...holler..I totally respect what he said...I wish to GOD he was running for president."

It's my guess that a lot of independents felt the same.

Roger that!!!

We were whooping it up so much for Zell, that our labrador freaked and went under the bed--no small feat, since the clearance is only about 8 inches.

Zell, you are no girly man, and I thank you for saying what needed to be said.

If Zell Miller wasn't in the first family's box tonight, you can bet it was his wish. He must be sick of the press and his own party smearing him. He's a man of honor and plain speaking. God bless him. Laura Bush would never disinvite Zell Miller from the presidential box. This is baloney.

I can only imagine how many Republicans would join you.

If Laura Bush WAS behind this enormous exhibition of lack of character I figure I may not like the next four years.

A guy goes out of his way to diss his own party, and to praise the Republicans and the President, and we would not even allow him to sit in the same area? That is a good pay back heh?

You could look at it that way. Or you could consider that Zell was not scheduled to be there in the first place. Or that the media is lying. Or that somebody is trying to sow dissension among Republicans. Zell Miller is a politician and is not going to undo the good he did with his speech supporting Pres Bush. He also meant what he said, and was undoubtedly grateful for the opportunity to tell his fellow democrats the extent to which their party has fallen away from their traditional roots. We were absolutely blown away by Zell's delivery and what he had to say. However, there is more to winning the Pres race than fixating on one great person and Zell Miller would be the first to agree with that.

Well, the RNC hasn't backed all that far off. You can visit the RNC website and read and d/l Miller's entire speech.

Perhaps Laura should stop answering the media's impromptu questions. She isn't a "red-meat" politician, obviously.

understand...Its' just the recent (last 18 years) history of the GOP, backing down...no real backbone (@ least in the senate)...McCain, "Turdcoat" Jeffords, Snowne...etc. etc. RINOs, to name a few. :/

Zell made the careful statement l he was NOT questioning the Dem's patriotism, only their judgment. McCain is either deaf or a bald-faced brown-nosed liar & I doubt there's anything wrong w/his ears.
