Excerpts from Kerry's speech (This is Unbelievable!)
Associated Press and Reuters ^ | Sept. 4, 2004 | Associated Press and Reuters

Posted on 09/03/2004 7:28:20 PM PDT by The Bandit

The Massachusetts senator said he would not allow anyone to question his fitness for the White House. "Not gonna do it, not gonna happen," Kerry said. "I will not have my commitment to defending this country questioned by those who refused to serve when they had a chance, and I will not have it questioned by those who misled this nation into war in Iraq."

Kerry said Republicans had distorted his 20-year record in the U.S. Senate, including his vote authorizing the use of force against Saddam Hussein and his subsequent vote against $87 billion to fund operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. "All this negative advertising, blah blah blah," Kerry said. "It turns people off."

He ridiculed the administration's August job numbers that showed the unemployment rate dropped from 5.5 percent to 5.4 percent with the addition of 144,000 new jobs. "At the rate that this administration is creating jobs, you're not going to have a net plus-one job in the state of Ohio until the year 2011," he said.

Kerry is a turn coat unfit to even live in the USA. He is not fit to lead Granny Goose!

Well, it was.

Man this is serious. sKerry's fighting back now and he has a lot of money with those 527s all over and his wife (barf) and he has a lot of brains. Bush won't be able to stand this much longer.

Don't get so cocky. sKerry knows what he is doing. He is now on the attack and he is a terrific closer.

OK, I'll try to be quiet and not give this "super-smart" candidate any advice. LOL

Since you are in SD I have to say GO THUNE. Next to our President winning, the victory I would most savor would be Thune's. Hope your fellow South Dakotans can finally see past the "moderate" campaign persona and the pork to cast a vote for the benefit of the entire nation.

Every time he knocks W's service in the National Guard the stupid elitist doesn't realize that he's knocking all those wonderful servicemen/women who are currently in harm's way in Afghanistan and Iraq and defending us here at home. What a POS this a$$hole this guy truly is!

Kerry's panzee speech was a pathetic political stunt to "stop the bleeding." The fact of the matter is that the RNC was amazing, from tear-jerking patriotic speeches, to heymaker hand-grenade speeches against Kerry... solid job all around. The Dems only counterargument has been that it was "mean spirited" and "angry"... as opposed to Al Gore and Howard Dean, who come off so civilized.

The Time Magazine, no bastion of conservative politics, has the President up by 12%... with no surprise. It really is beyond me how anyone with a conscience and true understanding of America's place in the world as a superpower... could vote for this stuck-up, liberal, out-of-touch, gold-diggin, tax and spend idiot Kerry. I can almost see the arguments against Bush's fiscal policy and other domestic issues... but nothing could get me to vote for Kerry. History calls on George Bush, and we need to spread the word to make sure he answers.

the "moderate" campaign persona and the pork to cast a vote for the benefit of the entire nation.

We are working on it. The operative word with Dakotans is "independent", not so much moderate. Small matter but with big connotations in this race. I've told Thune he needs to wholeheartedly embrace the Rep. party because it is the party of FREEDOM and INDEPENDENCE. But his ads still have him hedging and putting some wiggle room (really too much wiggle room) between him and the Admin.
Such caution seems all the more ridiculous with Daschle running ads of him hugging Bush.

Guess he should not have missed 75% of those intelligence meetings as part of his responsibilities serving on he Committee. If I remember, he missed the briefing as he was campaigning this Spring, saying "He was too busy"

And, if Senator Edwards is such a Great American, why didn't he serve in any arm of the Military? Guess it would be too difficult for him to part with the girlie man hair, as Arnold would say.

Exactly, how completely right you are. It is truly unbelievable that his campaign cannot see how this line of attack does him NO good In fact it helps our side immensely. It's as if we have goaded him into this box where he has to defend his "honor" and comes out offending everybody. I'm savoring every moment!

I'm not so sure. This might work for Kerry with some big whiplash effect catching the Bush Admin. Remember, sKerry's a great closer with waaay too much money. I don't think Dubya can handle this guy in the current subject matter in the end. We should all demand that sKerrry talk about his Senate record.

That's depressing. Daschole is anything BUT an independent. Thune needs to tie him to the liberal Rats like Teddy and Hillary! at the same time he embraces the President while showing his willingness to break with him ONLY when the The best interests of SD are in conflict. South Dakota will have a much better voice with a junior majority party Senator and Bush in office then an all Rat minority delegation. How hard is that to communicate.

I also wish he would focus on judges. I think the voters would be moved if the stories of Pickering, Estrada, Brown, etc were personalized. All good people with SD values being trashed and demonized.

Honestly, if the voters of SD are so selfish that they put the pork of Daschole above the good of the rest of the country they deserve the scorn and ridicule of the entire nation. If they reelect this POS I pledge to continually lobby my Senators to make sure that SD becomes last on the list of federal appropriations. We all should.

Sorry for the rant, I know it's not your fault.
