Al-Arabiya GM: Muslims are main perpetrators of terrorismThe Associated Press Egypt - Muslims worldwide are the main perpetrators of terrorism, a humiliating and painful truth that must be acknowledged, a prominent Arab writer and television executive wrote Saturday, as Middle East media and officials expressed horror at the bloody rebel siege of a Russian school.
“Our terrorist sons are an end-product of our corrupted culture,” Abdulrahman al-Rashed, general manager of Al-Arabiya television wrote in his daily column published in the pan-Arab Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper. It ran under the headline, “The Painful Truth: All the World Terrorists are Muslims!” Al-Rashed ran through a list of recent attacks by Islamic extremist groups — in Russia, Iraq, Sudan, Saudi Arabia and Yemen — many of which are influenced by the ideology of Osama Bin Laden, the Saudi-born leader of the al-Qaida terror network.
“Most perpetrators of suicide operations in buses, schools and residential buildings around the world for the past 10 years have been Muslims,” he wrote. Muslims will be unable to cleanse their image unless “we admit the scandalous facts,” rather than offer condemnations or justifications.
“If all the enemies of Islam united together and decided to harm it ... they wouldn’t have ruined and harmed its image as much as the sons of Islam have done by their stupidity, miscalculations, and misunderstanding of the nature of this age,” Bahgat wrote.
'A new low' The horrifying images of the dead and wounded Russian students “showed Muslims as monsters who are fed by the blood of children and the pain of their families.”

This should be no surprise to anyone...except the lib elites who chose to look the other way in the 90's!
At last, the horror of terrorism is being seen by Muslims and some at least are realizing that the terrorists are harming Islam.
Long overdue....let's hope this is the beginning of real Muslim self-examination and self-correction.

Islam is the biggest fraud in history. The Western world is gradually losing its sense of cultural relativism and this is going to put Muslims on the defensive, as terrorist atrocities force them to open their eyes. Once Muslims begin to actually study their religion and see how violent and dysfunctional it is, many will begin to leave it. And the house of cards will begin to fall.
Right. The world is not totally stupid.
As I have, they will quickly assume that the Muslim religion teaches the killing of all non-Muslims.
They will then realize the Muslim religion is not a religion but a band of thugs reveling in torture, killing, beheadings shielded by the cover of a world religion.
You know them by their fruits - and the world is learning who they are by their "fruits".

Islam has not come to the US to become a good neighbor. It is here instead, as a Trojan Horse, to exploit our free institutions, enslave our people and expand islamic control throughout the Western hemisphere. This problem has been allowed to fester at best, and aided and abetted at worst by our politically correct, pants wetting lib leadership. It is time to rectify the problem.

I have actually known some Muslims who I would describe as genuinely Godly people. They truly do follow the Golden Rule and seek to live righteous moral lives.
It will be interesting to see if a process of self-examination will allow those practicing Islam to reject those passages of the Koran calling for death to all infidels as being outmoded and not relevant to modern life. Christianity and Judaism have rejected certain things over the past centuries from their holy scriptures as being improper. (I'm thinking of animal sacrifice, for one thing...there are others, which I'm certain other Freepers could list.)
Unlike many here on the forum, I believe that Islam really does have legitimacy as a religion, but it desparately needs a Reformation and process of reinterpretation.

I thing the courage on display at the GOP convention - Zell, Rudy, Arnold, VP Cheney, Pres. Bush - encouraged some who had been living under the thumb of thug-evildoers for decades. Courage is contageous.

I understand your points - however, their religion has been corrupted by this fringe element who recruit those who "enjoy" violence - especially violence sanctioned by religion.
It is up to the Muslims to change this corruption. If necessary, they will have to break off and form a new group espousing their true ideas.
It is not up to us to overlook the radical murderers because of the other good ones. Afterall, we are the ones they are killing. If they were truly serving a better god than that reflected by the terrorists - then, they should fight for that true god and defend his name. That god is being maligned as of Satan because of the actions of terrorists. Now, just why would Muslims stand for such?
They seem to be willing to kill for their god - shouldn't the "true" Muslims be willing to defend their "peaceful, loving" god?
How weak must they be to allow the terrorist fringe to steal their religion from them?
