Newsweek poll internals: BUSH LEADS KERRY 47-44 IN BLUE DEMOCRAT STATES
Newsweek ^ | September 4, 2004

Posted on 09/04/2004 10:43:07 AM PDT by Nascardude

I know this poll has already been posted. But the internals are even more devistating to Kerry and the Democrats.

In the Red states, solid Republican, Bush leads Kerry 56-37

In the Purple states, or swing states Bush leads Kerry 51-42

In the Blue states, or states that are suppose to be solid Democrat. BUSH LEADS KERRY 47-44

Kerry is having trouble just keeping his base at this point!! No wonder he's cracking up.

**REGIONAL DEFINITIONS Republican states: AL, AK, CO, GA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MS, MT, NE, NC, ND, OK, SC, SD, TX, UT, VA, WY

Swing states: AZ, AR, FL, IA, ME, MI, MN, MO, NV, NH, NM, OH, OR, PA, TN, WA, WV, WI

Democratic states: CA, CT, DE, DC, HI, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, RI, VT

Again, with all due respect, this poll is garbage. Republicans have been ridiculously oversampled. Let us wait for polls from organizations with more credibility than Newsweak.

Ever since Kerry was nominated, I've been saying Bush takes 40 states. And they all laughed at me... Looks like I might have underestimated how horrid a candidate Kerry is.

Let's keep fighting like it's neck and neck, but man, these polls feel good!

Hmmm... Could be a monochrome election this year.

More nutty midnight appearances from Kerry coming up? He looked like looney the other night. More crazy I was in Vietnam coming soon? Probably tonight.

i'm with you. when the LA Times which over samples the RATS has numbers like these then I'll think a reagan vote is on teh train tracks and that mr carter and mr mondale will be happy cause they will not have worst record.

LOL. I hope Kerry continues the fine Democrat tradition of George McGovern and Walter Mondale.

I'm not arguing here but what is you theory as to why Newsweek would do this. It is a liberal rag or at least it was, when I canceled my subscription years ago.

How dare you question his patriotism!

Jeez... Kerry is managing to make Dukakis's campaign look good. I don't think Breck Boy can save him now.

Kerry should spend all his $45 million in one state, like Vermont, to avoid a total sweep.

You say cracking up...if this trend continues to hold, I believe Kerry will lash out in a manner we have not yet seen..He is not accustomed to this kind of criticism and his image is too important to him, too carefully constructed over the years, for this to not effect him deeply..

He will sling mud "like crazy"..and may become unhinged.IMHO

"Jeez... Kerry is managing to make Dukakis's campaign look good."

Former Dukakis campaign advisor (?) Pat Cadell seems to agree.

CT... NJ... MA?!

Somebody's talkin' shit here. These two states are the core of northeast socialism

The majority of voters in these two states believe that higher taxes are the cure-all from hang-nails to world peace!

They did the same thing to Dems after the DNC (oversampling them). Possibly more Republicans answered the phone, or else more Independents/Dems decided to call themselves Republicans.
