POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (AP) - President Bush apparently mixed up his words Monday while delivering his usual campaign speech about the rising cost of health care.
``We need to do something about these frivolous lawsuits that are running up the cost of your health care and running good docs out of business,'' Bush said. ``We've got an issue in America. Too many good docs are getting out of business. Too many OB/GYNs aren't able to practice their love with women all across this country.''
The president was speaking to an applauding crowd of thousands of supporters in this southeast Missouri town of 16,500 people.

OK. I'm convinced, I'm voting for Kerry.
Thanks AP, for realizing just how stoopid we are out here. < /sarcasm>

Hehehe bless his heart...he gets tongue-tied with passion for what he believes in. I know when he was here in Columbus, I was so excited to be there had he made any mistakes, I wouldn't even have noticed. I bet the audience there felt the same way.

What was the byline on this AP story? Could it have possibly been the same guy who got caught making up stuff then trying to delete the saved LEXIS-NEXIS version?

Of course they ran it on the tube this am. The presstitues are the only ones that would see it as a gaff, instead of seeing the real issue. They'll bombard W with anything they can since they can't seem to get any of Kerry's flip floppin ideas to get any traction

I watched the speech live, heard the comment and thought to myself that the AP would be making news again. I just can't believe that it took them this long to get the story out. In context, it's obvious that "love" refers to the practice of their chosen speciality in the medical profession. When will the AP return to journalism and stop trying to make news?

That was certainly worth the effort it took to report.

Even when Bush doesn't exactly say what he means, you know where he stands. When Kerry says what he means, you still don't know where he stands.
