The Boston Globe is an ultra liberal, pro-gay, pro-abortion, pro-feminist, anti-Christian rag which is mostly read by the type of person who wouldn't vote Republican if the candidate were their own mother.

When did we start talking about Ron Reagan, Jr.?

The President, near as I can tell from the newly released records, spent a whole heckuvalot more time in the ANG than Kerry has actually spent in the Senate (despite the fact that he continues to draw full pay). The only one who is AWOL here is Kerry.

If the other side is to be heard it is up to us. The media will never look into who is behind this in the way they did the swifties. Let's try to collect as many eyewitnesses as possible and put them in one place. We also need to start writing Fox News, Washington Times, NY Post and WSJ demanding due diligence in rebuttals. I also want to see all of the new records posted so we can see for ourselves what the say and not what the media tells us they say.

However I don't see that Kerry made up the two years of meetings he missed of his ready reserve obligations from 1970 to 1972.

This article certainly opens the door to question that, doesn't it?

If I was instructing The White House Spokesman... I would tell him to say to the Press tomorrow......"When 250 Texas Air National Guardsman come forth to back this rediculous claim..... Give me a gingle OK, Until then, Why dont you see if Kerry will hold a Press Conference and answer some of the questions 250 of his fellow Swift Boat Vets are asking?"

In all fairness Kerry must have been very busy in that time of his life, testifying in front of the Senate and flying to Paris to make those meetings and all.

The DNC and Kerry are attempting to switch the story from Kerry in and right after Vietnam to Bush national guard duty. It doesn't matter whether they are being honest or not, the only thing they want to do is make Bush's military service--not Kerry's--the issue. Then they succeed.

Thank you. While I enjoy the many Newsmax,NRO,Weekly Standard and Washington Times stories posted on FR they're preaching to the converted. We are engaged in war.And if we only allow viewpoints similar to ours to be posted here we jeopardize becoming complacent and WE WILL LOSE THIS!(And it wouldn't be as much fun now would it?)

Here is a picture of something more important than another story of Bush's National Guard service:

You know your stuff

Critical dates: Oct 14th & 5th, 1969

John "V" Kerry was still an Admiral's Aide on US Navy active duty at Brooklyn Navy Yard

Lt.(jg) John Kerry wilfully, knowningly, and illegally signed out to a false destination those two (2) days

Lt.(jg) put on civvies and flew Adam Wilensky to anti-war ralloies in New York State while the USA was still at war with North Viet Nam

Adam Wilensky was a former speechwriter for Bobby Kennedy who was assassinated on live TV at a campaign stop by radical Islamic killer Sirhan Sirhan.

Wilensky became an anti-war organizer ties to VVAW and Jane Fonda with mysterious large cash amounts being funneled by George McGovern while the KGB was known by the CIA and the FBI to be financing the Vietnam Veterans Against the War.

One alleged recipient of these unreported funds was William J. Clinton as he traveled illegally to Moscow to meet in a hotel room with KGB agents.

Read the letter to Col. Holmes by Slick Willie mentioning "a anti-war activist friend" [John "V" Kerry] and Col. Holmes later followup letter telling how Bill Clinton had "Kohned" him and evaded the draft by sneaking off to England and after lying in saying he would attend ROTC meetings in the USA.

Critical dates: Nov 12th-15th, 1971

John "V" Kerry while still in the US Navy Reserves made his very first US Senate vote!

No new information, just a lot of spin and speculation.

Your right about that, however what isn't being, and hasn't been, portrayed is the desperation being shown by the sKerry campaign that brings on such an outlandish article.

This is obviously more recent than 1971, but here are the 1997 National Guard regulations. Take a look a 4.17. GWB is in the clear assuming these regulations are similar to what was in effect in 1971.

http://www.dtic.mil/whs/directives/corres/html2/d123513x.htm

"4.17. Individual Reservists who are qualified for retirement under Chapter 1223 of reference (a), except for having reached 60 years of age, are required to attain 50 points each anniversary year to be retained in the Ready Reserve, including the IRR, or the active status list of the Standby Reserve. Waiver of that requirement on a one-time basis may be made by the Secretary concerned or, in the case of members possessing critical wartime skills, by a waiver granted by the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs. "

My mistake. I posted too soon as this is for the inactive reserve, but I'm sure regulations are similar. It would be nice if we had a link to the actual 1971 regulations.

This article has been debunked based on the incorrect idea that Bush would be evaluated based on a "fiscal year".

Note that this idea of "fiscal year" shows up in a letter by Gerald Lichliter written 8/6/2004. It looks like the Globe may have borrowed from or colluded with this guy.

In this FR thread: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/1209859/posts?page=1

Freepers report on Gerald and claim that he is a founder of Iraq Veterans Against the War.
