DOES THIS LOOK MEDIOCRE TO YOU?
The records also indicate Bush made good grades, scoring an 88 on total airmanship and earning perfect 100 for flying without navigational instruments, operating a T-38 System and studying applied aerodynamics. Other scores ranged from 89 in flight planning to 98 in aviation physiology.
OK, President Bush was a "jet fighter pilot".
But, can he drive a boat???
Yeah, AP, ripping along at 400 mph, in a F-102, a rocket with wings, reallllll mediocre.
If Bush's record was "mediocre", I'll take that over a traitorously false war hero any day.
The President's record WAS mediocre-(meaning "average")-and he missed a physical, resulting in his being taken off the flight qualification list.
It doesn't take BIAS to say that.
Well, has the President ever claimed hero status? Mediocre is a long way from AWOL.
military records didn;'t seem to matter when it was their guy, Bill Clinton being discussed. more selective outrage here folks.
None of these people shared the same cockpit with Bush.
What?
He didn't?
Ever?
Never mind.
"Mediocre" compared to what - Bill Clinton and John Edwards!!?Of course the whole article begs the question of whether a military medal, or five of them, qualifies you for President of the United States. Especially if those medals are on the chest of a person who symbolically threw everyone's medals in the trash. And who recently recommended that we elect a draft dodger to the position . . .
Oh I can remember people around here getting huffy when Cheney's draft dodging was compared to Clinton's, so selective outrage works both ways.
Having said that, what does Bush's National Guard record have to do with his fitness to be President of the United States?
I wasn't aware that Cheney "dodged the draft". I AM aware that Bill Clinton stated in writing that he "loathed the militray".
as for war records, I don't really think that they are significant - especially in light of the fact that W is already CINC. What matters to me is what Lurch (kerry) did when he came home.
I agree with the AP here. Former President Bill Clinton could out-fly President Bush any day and I know the good folks at AP have proof of that. There is a problem here though. If their dog in this race looses, even with all the help he is getting, where does that leave them on 11/3? The dems will turn on their no longer useful 'fellow travelers' and consume them.

Sounds kinda hard to me. Maybe Dubya ain't dumb after all.
What really wories me is, why Fox of all people pick these biased AP headlines and read it as News in primetime & all time. Don't they need to use a little judgement of their own?
AP stands for Al Pravda. Dis them every chance you get.
****I HAVE A QUESTION*** It was said that the last of Bush's papers was gotten by a lawsuit....why can't the same be done with Kerry???? The Pentagon said that Bush's papers were filed wrong and that these should have been distroyed after 2 years but weren't for some reason, that's why they didn't look for these in the first place.
